Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess [DVD]

It got my daughter into Disney princess

Not seen the series so don't know how true this is to it but my 4year old daughter loves this film. It's 45 mins long which is good for a young kids' attention span. Also nice that it is about a young girl princess (her mum marries the long making her a princess over night), so not a sexualised find me a prince type princess. Also not too scary - the villain doesn't scare my daughter the way other film baddies do. And a nice moral ending about step brothers and sisters learning to get along. Also has a cameo appearance from Cinderella which delights my daughter. And several Minnie Mouse episodes as bonus features which go down well with my kids.

Bought for my 5 yr old daughter as a present for doing well in her school report. Her friend had seen it on the Disney Channel and my little girl kept asking to get it. So far she has watched it 4 times in two days. And both her and her little brother love the Minnies Bow Toons at the end. Lovely story and as others have said it's refreshing to see a young princess teaching children about manners and friendship.

I love this particular Sofia dvd. It has a lovely story and there is always a moral to the story. One episode is the right length for a treat, this is the first episode or movie and tells the story of how Sofia became a princess! I enjoyed a rainy afternoon on the couch with my toddler and this!

My 2 and half yr old daughter loves this DVD. She watches the programme on television too. This DVD lasts around 50mins which is ideal for her age. She sings along to all the songs and is a great princess for younger girls to get into. There are also minnie mouse episodes and a sing along option (for when she is older). Great buy. It has been watched many times and is a definate favourite!

I bought this DVD for my 20 month grand-daughter for going on holiday to play during the flight and I thought that it would amuse for a limited period of time. She absolutely loves it and watched for the full forty plus minutes. I am not a great believer of young children watching too much on TV or DVD but she watched this transfixed. Good price certainly value for money.

Fantastic value. Speedy delivery. My 4 year old loves it she has seen it on disney channel and really wanted it on dvd so that's why we got it. She has watches it loads of times and never seems to tire of it. It is about a little girl whose mum marries a king and she becomes a princess. It is beautifully written and the cartoon is lovely to watch

I bought this DVD for my daughter who loves Sofia the first because I thought this first episode was only available on DVD, the very week after I bought it the Disney channel aired it and since then have aired it at least three times a week every week so the DVD is a bit redundant. I regret buying it purely because you can watch it for free on the Disney Channel. It is a good DVD though, no problems with the DVD, seller or the delivery.

It is amazing story in how Sofia a normal girl soon became a princess

Le storie di Sofia sono molto carine, semplici ma non stupide e piene di buoni sentimenti non gratuiti. Mia figlia che ha poco meno di tre anni ne va matta. Non si tratta in questo caso proprio di un film, bensì di una puntata speciale un po' più lunga del solito. Risulta particolarmente bella e interessante perché è proprio la prima, che racconta di come Sofia diventa principessa, del perché si chiama "Sofia Prima" (anche se nell'edizione italiana questa cosa non viene molto sottolineata, mente nell'edizione originale la serie si chiama proprio "Sofia the First"), di come ottiene l'amuleto magico e del perché può parlare con gli animali. Inoltre c'è la presenza di Cenerentola, anche se solo per pochi minuti, ed è una cosa carina (esistono diverse puntate speciali di Sofia, ognuna con la presenza di una principessa Disney: Rapunzel, Ariel, Jasmine ecc.). Super consigliato per le bimbe che amano Sofia e per quelle che vogliono conoscerla.

super süßer Film.meine Tochter liebt das Lied von Cinderella.Der Film hat keine Spielfilmlänge was ich für nicht sehr tragisch erachte.Nette Geschichte über Eifersucht, Familie und natürlich das unverzichtbare disney happy End.
