Especially good for spoken word
Nice compact unit. Radio is ordinary but MP3 player is surprisingly good quality. The unit is especially suitable for spoken word files, audio books. language tapes etc. since it has no 'shuffle' facility which, if accidentally triggered, would lose your place. When switched off, the player remembers where you were and automatically returns when switched on again. If the MP3 file is divided into chapters, lessons or songs, any track can be instantly called using the keypad - no need to step through one at a time.The player comes with a lithium 850mA battery, which lasts for ten hours or more, and also with a mini-USB charging lead. MP3 files can be on standard USB stick or micro SD card, or you can plug in an iPhone, iPod or similar. There is also an earphone socket for private listening. I use mine for children's bedtimne stories, and the volume is loud enough to be heard in a car. One word of caution: if you want to use a USB memory stick, be sure to get the low-profile type, as a standard 'long' stick will potentially strain the USB socket. A micro SD card, on the other hand, fits completely inside the unit's case. I like this unit so much that I have now bought three of them.

very good
This is the second one i buy. i bought the first one about 2 years ago. I have been using it in my shed, in the heat of summer and the snow of winter never took it indoors. Worked very well, until it decided to die. So I bought the second one the only difference - the first was blue and the new is red.... :-)Very loud and clear sound. i have a usb memo stick and micro SD car connected to it. It can remember what i last listed to on both the USB memo and the SD card. Never used radio, so don't know whether it is good or not. Definitely recommended.

Worth the money
There are better players out there but they cost a lot more than this one. It does the job but will not buy another one. Just wanted a player to take out side in the garden

Check the package for missing battery
The radio is perfect however they must have forgotten to send the battery in the package so the radio was useless until i bought the compatible battery BL-5C.
