No clear instruction about not being able to watch on English dvd
No it did not sadly because I haven't got to watch it due to being a region 1 DVD and not customed for a regular English DVD player. Buying it on amazon uk, it should have being made clear it wasn't suitable for watching in England. Though when my brought the second series it played normally, so I didn't expect to have problems with the following series.

Great Series...
I was looking for a series that is funny, with no swearing and more of a literal kind of funny for my Aspergers son. This is perfect!! He has laughed non stop and even started to stop swearing.. Couldn't ask for more 😃

Fantastic comedy for all the family
Series 3 of the huge 80s comedy hit Diff'rent Strokes features another 22 episodes spread over three discs. Originally screened in the USA in late 1980 and early 1981, this series was screened regionally in the UK on ITV typically around 5.15pm or 6.30pm on a weekday afternoon depending on your region. Episodes here were not screened in any particular order.Lovong the show as a child in the early 80s, I cannot remember any of the episodes on this set, but I do recall seeing Kimberly (Dana Plato) in the opening titles parading down the stairs in her pink outfit. The child stars of this show have had incredibly bad luck since the show ended in 1986 with the deaths of Gary Coleman (Arnold) and Dana Plato. Todd Bridges (Willis) has also had a bad run with being charged with murder, dealing in drugs and countless run-ins with the police. Not much is known of Canadian Conrad Bain (Phil Drummond) since leaving the show, but according to wikipedia, he's still with us.The episodes on this set areThe Bank Job (1)The Bank Job (2)Small Claims CourtSubstitute MotherThe Accident (1)The Accident (2)Little MotherFootball FatherFirst LoveCount Your BlessingsThe LoanRootsJunk Food Junkie (aka Junk Food)The BusThe Older ManWhere There's HopeThe Magician (aka It's Magic)Drummond's Fair LadyThe AncestorsAlmost AmericanRoom for One MoreThe AthleteTake a trip down Memory Lane and watch this set.
