Lovely big fans. Temperature control is good too.
I was doing a contrasting black and white computer build and was looking for some cheap 12cm fans to use as air intake fans, so I found these at around £3-4 each and bought a bunch!I've never bought TC fans before and wasn't really sure what they were to be honest, but they're pretty straight-forward. So, they have the usual 3-pin fan attachment that goes to the motherboard, but there's another cable that comes out of the fan that contains a little temperature sensor. I positioned these, using cable ties at the hottest part of the case (between the PSU and the CPU). This ensures that the fans kick in whenever there's a hint of heat. They're really silent and you just don't hear them so having them come on early is absolutely fine. There are some situations where the fans don't actually kick in at all, because the temperature is below a certainly threshold, but as soon as the computer starts doing things then they speed up.I found the fans did the job of bringing cool air into the case quite well, silently and cheaply. On balance, I'd probably avoid TC fans in the future, because you have to find a place to mount the sensor and I guess the motherboard handles its own temperature control anyway these days, so it makes this feature a little defunct. However, they were significantly cheaper than the non-TC ones so I was building to a budget and this helped me keep costs down. I'd buy again, certainly, but if non-TC and TC were the same price, I'd buy non-TC.

Excellent case fans that work, and work well.
Having just upgraded my PC, new motherboard, CPU, GPU and SSD the upgrades work perfectly. All except for the noisy case fans. I kept my original case as it was a good one, but man was it noisy. Two of these Arctic F12s one sucking and one blowing have fixed it a treat. The thing is near silent. So much so that until the boot up screen comes up I am not sure its on. At idle they spin slowly and get up to speed when having to do some serious work, but they are still very quiet.Easy to fit into case with four screws (supplied) these 120mm fans fitted perfectly where the old ones came out. They have the motherboard connector and also a temperature sensor which I just small zip cabled into the case.Really good fans for the price, very pleased.

Not as good as the 80mm fan
I used the 80mm arctic cooling pwm fan on my previous build and it worked extremely well, however I can't say the same for this fan. My fan is not silent, but it is very quiet. Perhaps it is my case (coolermaster n200), but it is very noisy when used as an intake fan at the front. It's now being used as an intake fan at the top. All in all, it pulls in a lot of air and cools my components very well. PWM control is awesome and I might buy another one in the future because they are so cheap yet so goodAlso a thumbs up for arctic cooling on the box design. Very easy to open unlike on my 80mm fan. However be careful if you have a big case (probably ATX) because the cable is very short. However this is great for smaller cases (mini-ITX and mATX)

Well made fan, zero noise pollution
this fan has impressed me with its outstanding cooling performance and minimal noise levels. This fan does an excellent job of keeping my PC temperature cool, even during demanding tasks, and effectively disperses the heat into my room which is nice. The installation process was hassle-free ,I appreciate the sleek design of this fan. The blades are well-designed, effectively maximizing airflow while minimizing noise generation. The fan's performance is consistent and reliable, even during extended usage periods.I've now had this fan for about 3-4 years now and never had any issues with it, touch wood lolmakes near enough zero noise pollution even with ear up close to pc and if I'm being honest I've never properly cleaned it, my next purchase will be a compressed air canister to clean the inside of my case

Best fans I've ever had!
I had some overheating problems with my computer - the GPU went up to 95 degrees and the CPU to 85 so I thought I would try get some new fans to see if they make the difference. After reading many reviews I decided to get these as they are powerful enough and control the temperature by themselves - no need to mess around in BIOS or get a program to regulate the speed for you - and they work better than I ever expected! The highest temperature I have managed to get running Bioshock Infinite on full settings in DX11 was 68 degrees! I'm really glad I didn't go for a more expensive solution. My computer has gotten a lot more quiet - these fans make little noise and obviously since it cools the CPU down the CPU fan needs to do less work as well (that was the loudest fan in my PC and now I can hardly hear it).Piece of advice - the cables are really quite long so you can install them at the front and back of the case with no need for extension cables (I mistakenly got one thinking I would need it because I wanted to connect them to the Motherboard) and the temperature sensor cables are long as well so you can place them anywhere you like in the PC.5/5 worth a buy - I doubt you can get much better for this price (but be sure to get 2 - for front and back!).

Well designed and quiet
Unlike some other fans advertised as "quiet", the Arctic F12 really is. At the normal idling speed of 300 rpm, it is virtually silent. Of course, at higher speeds, it'll make some noise, but if your PC runs hot enough to require driving these fans at higher rpm, noise is probably not your biggest concern.Note that these fans come only with the small 3-pin Molex connector. If your PC only has the larger 4-pin ATX connectors, you'd need an adapter. Also note that to use the thermal sensor functionality and the higher rpm, you'd need to connect the fans to 12VDC - the yellow wire in most ATX/Molex connectors. The fans will run with the 5VDC (red wire), but only at the idle 300 rpm speed.
