Excellent quality! Awesome customer service!
This 6” adjustable chuck is worth the money, it is excellent quality and easy to adjust, any size part can zeroed in minutes. It’s like adjusting a 4 jaw independent chuck, you can achieve a .0005 tir . I am able to produce more accurate parts from my old Clarke lathe than with any other 3 jaw chuck I own. When I contacted the seller with a couple questions, I got a response within hours, not days. I would recommend this product and this seller! 5 stars !!!!

Good Inexpensive Chuck that is Much More Flexible than 3 or 4 Jaw
I wanted a larger than 6" Self Centering Chuck for our 1442 lathe. We often turn items that are just too big to chuck without flipping the jaws. I had not ever considered a 6 jaw until stumbling on this one. On the same order, I purchased an adapter that was necessary for it to to fit our lathe. I am super happy with the purchase. It handles larger pieces, but also handles square items in a way I never considered, making it super useful - we really haven't taken it off from our lathe since we bought it. It was difficult to adjust at times (harder to turn), but switching drive positions helps. Also purchased a speed handle from Amazon, which made for a much quicker adjustments. It is way more enjoyable use. The only down side is flipping the jaws - there are twice as many to flip - worth the trouble compared to the limits of our 6" 3 jaw we used for almost everything.
