I think xxl for a size 20 because these are lovely belts & also acts like a waist cincher . Very comfortable & well made a joy to wear :)

Q: Is this okay for a 12 year old

I bought this item for a fancy dress themed party. It was very comfortable. Personally, I would be happy for a 12 year old to wear one as part of an outfit.

Q: How do I tighten it more?

To tighten it you just adjust the laces. If it's still to loose then you either return it to exchange for a smaller size or if your handy with a sewing machine you can shorten the elastic and refit. Hope this helps.

I found this item did not last one try on , its very cheap plastic ( not leather ) . the elastic is very weak and buckled and creased after tryng it on .. So bearing that in mind if you still wish to buy it I would recommend the largest size
