Great book on the history of this fantastic store and a lot of photos of the memories from within, great read.

As an ex employee of Marshall Field & Company I enjoyed reliving happy times through this beautifully compiled book. For lovers of the greatest department store ever, I recommend this book. It would make a wonderful gift to an MF&Co fan.

Excellent! My dad worked for Fields during the years I was old enough to travel by train from Wheaton to Chicago, about age ten to when I graduated from high school (1962). I would go in on Saturday mornings when my dad worked half days and prowl the store till noon when he would take me up to the twelth floor employees' cafeteria for lunch, then head home with him. The ninth floor, where they had all the toys and especially the huge Lionel and American Flyer train layouts, and the fourth floor book store were my favorites. A great many of my favorite times with my dad are linked to Marshall Fields, and Ms. Goddard's book has brought them all back. Thanks, Leslie!
