Fantastic screen
I purchased this screen primarily for use with my work laptop to provide more working area. However, I have had far more use out of this than just that. The screen size is just perfect for the resolution and ideal for the additional workspace I need. The colours are vibrant and the brightness is fantastic, making it very easy and clear to use for working. However, where this screen really surprised me was how well it doubles up (with the addition of some half decent speakers in the back) as a small entertainment screen.Genuinely fantastic screen all round, with just one slightly weak point - the stand. Sadly the stand is VERY wobbly. No issue whatsoever when working normally, but the slightest nudge of the desk and the screen wobbles. This cannot be fixed in any way either, as the screen is not VESA mountable to change the stand. This is, however, an almost trivial concern under my use case, and it is with little hesitation that I rate this a full 5 stars. Absolutely love this screen and an excellent investment.

Great, BUT
I don't normally do reviews, but Amazon prompted me.Its a great screen with brilliant colours BUT there was a dead pixel lower righr corner and the sound output with headphones is very quiet compared to my other screen. The pixel is just bad luck and TBH I couldn't be bothered to return it. But sound is low.

Good value basic monitor.
The 2ms model is under a hundred quid, what's not to like? I bought this when my previous monitor died, so had little time to research. Connected with the supplied DV cable, it's brighter than my old monitor, but then so were my colour prints, so a closer match isn't a bad thing.Fortunately I'm not hanging it on a wall, the placement and direction of the rear sockets would make that impossible. If that's what you intend, be prepared to buy right-angled connectors for mains and video, as the supplied ones would be useless.

Superb 24" Monitor
Bought this to replace my aging Acer P244W monitor that was going to replace an ancient 16" square monitor.Setting up the VS247HR is easy and it has 3 input modes. VGA, DVI & HDMI. It comes with a DVI and VGA but no HDMI?After connecting via my own HDMI I was quickly impressed with the super bright High Contrast Screen and fantastic colour that made my P442W look dark in comparison. Colours are fabulous even the windows 10 yellow folders look like new with better contrast.Using Photo Shop PS6 my photos took on a new lease of life looking much more natural and 3D like with superb colour and resolution detail I've never seen before. Even the win 10 circle that looked like rotating dots is now resolved into little 12 pointed stars. To sum up I'm very very happy with this monitor and would recommend it 100%. Comes with a three year warranty too and for £99 or £102 Prime

What waste money on more expensive screens?
Why waste money on more expensive screens? I bought a couple of Dell screens as they had the best reviews. They are for my main office. I needed a screen abroad for a time so I bought and had delivered this screen for 'cheap' short term use. Amazon delivered it after almost a month but that is another issue. This screen is a great IPS LED screen almost as good as the Dells. The stand is not as good but if you set it up properly there is no problem at all. The menu buttons are easier to use than the touch sensitive Dell options. Seriously, unless you are a professional photographer or such like this screen will be perfect for your needs. Save the money and get this. Note the the only niggle is that the power line supplied with the screen did not actually fit the unit which was a real pain. Shame on you Amazon. I will be contacting you for a replacement.

Not Perfect, but more than fit for purpose.
Okay, so I needed a few new monitors for back home (I took my current monitors to University Halls). I do have other products by asus and I know what I'm talking about when it comes to their monitors.Noticed these were relatively cheap and decided to pick 2 up, both 23.4inch.CONS:1) First thing I noticed straight away was these monitors had a very cheap build quality, the type of build quality you'd expect from a manufacturer like LG or BenQ. Not very standard of Asus. Was missing all plastic wrappings, no glossy surfaces, back and sides were made of thinner plastic of inferior quality to my other monitors. This kinda justified why the monitors were so cheap.2. Contrast. Another negative feature of bad monitors is that the saturation is way too high and often not very adjustable. Sadly, this is also true for this product. The leaking colour is incredibly high around the sides, not great especially for use at night.PROS1. It's certainly not all bad. you get HDMI support and a very good response time considering the price of the monitor, the monitor generally doesn't have any problems, and mine were delivered without any imperfection (no dead pixels).2. The monitor is certainly marginally better than other monitors I have purchased from other developers. it has features such as tilt, and the monitor is actually incredibly light and easy to carry around.

'Height adjust' version is not height adjustable!
Bought this screen as I wanted a high quality, height adjustable screen. High quality it is, height adjustable it is not (I selected the product version 'height adjust' and therefore paid extra. Got a refund on the difference but still very frustrating.
