Great concept, I love it
I've had my solopod for almost 2 months. I'm a freelance, outdoor photographer. last fall i was in Reno, NV at a hot air balloon race. it was 5am, quite dark, in a wildgrass field, cameras in tow waiting for balloons to launch before dawn. It was also cold. I was dressed appropriately, had hand warmers and a comfy foldup chair. So wished i had known of and had this pod then. No matter. I'll have it next time. I live full time in RV on country property. I do have visible and sometimes nosy neighbors. So this lets me sit outside at home, in privacy, away from the nasty mosquitoes, and the like.At night, i can sit and watch the neighborhood varmints - racoons, deer, whild hogs, foxes, etc. I haven't tried it in other than dry, cool/cold windy, calm weather...no wetness involved. However, after i've tried it in wet weather, i will seal it wherever is needed and spray with "campdri" for the next wet adventure outdoors. I love this. Also works for travelling when there are no covered picnic shelters avail at rest stops or there is no rest stop and i need to just pull off the highway in safe place to rest. this will provide shade and privacy. As far as folding it up, the front door vinyl does get wrinkled from shipping making visibility a real problem. I accidentally solved that by only folding the pod lengthwise, tossing into the back of my truck and not folding up the rest of the way. I only had to pop the walls out and badda bing, badda boom, pod set up and door wrinkle-free with improved but not perfect visibility - it is vinyl, afterall.I love the versatility - zip down flaps for ventilation in warm weather, zip out moon flaps in cool/cold weather. Zip up floor for portability in messy weather.and I found a folding storage ottoman on amazon that i may bring with to put inside - hold blankets, jacket, snacks, camera gear, etc, it measures (rounded off) 15" deepx15" wide x 30" long with padded lid for seating. I also have a perfect folding camp chair already that will work perfectly with ottoman.I am waiting for the "team pod" to become available from the maker of the solo pod (anthem-sport, i believe is the maker's website).in short, i love it and wish i'd had it for all those miserable cold, freezing wet college horse shows i spent 7 years going to on weekends.it comes with bags for sand or ??? and guy ropes to stablize it - i plan to use wet sand (for added weight) but haven't needed same to this point. if anything should happen to this pod, lost or stolen or wild animal damage, etc, i'd buy another one in a heart beat.My one and only quibble is that when my chair in in place, backed up to the back wall, i still cannot stretch out my feet in fromt of me more than about 6 inches or so and my head hits the back wall if i tilt my head back. it's not a major thing but sometimes i feel like stretching out after sitting for a while.and i really wish it came in some kind of camoflage colors, browns or greens or combo or???????otherwise i'm totally a happy camper. did i mention one of my cats loves sitting in MY camp chair in the pod and napping while sometimes watching the neighborhood varmints? the property is completely fenced so he is safe but highly entertained.so it's also cat-approved for another 5 stars.

A little messy, but worth it
The media could not be loaded. This is indeed a very nice amenity to have for outdoor sports. We used it for the first time at a baseball practice in late winter/early spring. There was a light snow, just above freezing. Sitting in the pod defintely made a difference. The only drawback is that the floor can get wet/dirty, so I'd recommend bringing a towel to dry it out before folding it up.

Effective but frustrating
Works to keep the cold out, but three stars because it’s not easy to fold up and put away. Plus the zippers don’t seem to lock together all the way, as you can see gaps in between them.

Great idea
Easy to pop up and down. Saved the kids in many cold and rainy days. Zippers are poorly made so be careful or they will rip off.

Quality is not what expected!
This is the third SportPod we have. Our others are a different brand than this one but this one was a little less expensive and I thought I would try the different shape. The quality is NOT the same!!!! The zipper is horrible and usually use it for chilly weather so like the windows on the side. Worse part of it is trying to get it folded back up, it seems to have a mind of its own. My others fold right up - this one is a nightmare. Otherwise OK but I learned my lesson about trying to save a few $.

This was a gift for my daughter so that she can watch my grandchildrens' sports activities during inclement weather. She hasn't used it yet and doesn't expect to until Spring finally arrives.
