Good starter for little kids
Wide variety of parts to use. My 7 yo grandson loved it. Some bad reviews related to lack of detailed instructions. So what.

Nifty little science kit
This is a great kit for young learners to experiment with the basic principles of magnetism. Attraction, opposition, ferrous and non ferrous material, and the general concept of magnetic fields.These aren't strong magnets, so pretty safe for younger children under supervision, and also safe around electronics.We've added some items to our kit like stronger magnets and a tube of ferro-fluid. My son plays and experiments for hours.

Missing Circular Magnets from my orders
Missing Circular Magnets from my initial purchase; quantity two. I ended up getting a replacement order, but second order also had the missing Circular Magnets.It shows on the picture (as marked) but does not get delivered.Very disappointing; however, I do recommend the product because it is still a very good educational kit to learn about Magnets and Magnetism.

Not clear instructions and poorly made
Electromagnet coil had broken wire and could not work. Screw to hold battery contact was stripped and no clear instructions on use of parts, visual photos not sufficient.

Small but works great
This was perfect for our 3rd grade homeschool science unit on magnets and electricity. The card with the different experiments was almost too small to read, so I just came back to the Amazon post with the clearer pictures. Our kids enjoyed it!

Perfect for Aspiring Physics Teachers
This is a super set of magnetic supplies for any physics teacher, lots of fun little bars and round magnets, iron fillings, all kinds of bits and pieces. Perfect for demonstrating attraction and repulsion, great for playing with the mysterious force field.Now, if you're not a former physics or engineering major, or trained science teacher, then the almost complete lack of instructions makes this set a complete dud. Sorry. Yikes. A book or link to youtube videos of 'experiments' would make all the difference here.Five stars for Mums and Dads who want some great bonding time playing with and talking about magnets with their kids. One star for everybody else. Hope this honest review helps you.
