Absolute Treasures - The Rocky Horror Picture Show

no point in saying anything about the music, you either know it or you don't. This double LP on red vinyl sounds fantastic, really well mastered and benefits immensely from being spread over the 2 discs instead of crammed onto 1... The only issue is that side 4 is pressed slightly off kilter [on my copy] so that it sounds like a merry go round by the time it gets to the last track ... still, it doesn't spoil the enjoyment, and of all the various copies I've owned over the years I'm really very happy with this one. Going to get it on CD too...

There's a reason that "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" is a cult classic; it's a stroke of pure genius! Brilliantly funny characters, zany and fearless, the songs on this CD send you right back into the movie. I was happily surprised to discover a song on here that didn't feature in the movie.This is a must have for any Rocky Horror fans !

This is less a review for the vinyl and more for the seller. Although the vinyl does sound perfect and looks beautiful! Get this pressing for the blood-red vinyl and additional songs not present on the other pressing.Browns-Books, I would give you 10 stars if I could. Brought this on the basis it was £1.26...there's not a scratch on it and is easily the best thing I've brought on Amazon to date. Excellent item. Flawless service. Thank you!

An absolute for any Rocky Horror fan especially this version as it includes all the songs including Brad's solo not included in the final cut!...... Oh and the vinyl colour is as my 9yr old daughter noticed the same as Magentas Ruby lips on the cover!

Overall the album is great, with the translucent red vinyls. I was expecting something a little more inside or at least some artwork on the paper sleeves that the vinyls are in. Dissapointed that the Sword of Damocles isn't like the song from the film instead someone else singing. Vinyl had a slight warp, the edges were slightly rough and the hole wasn't big enough, none of this affects playing the vinyl

A great album for the 40th anniversary. I know some people think wrong versions or rip off versions of certain tracks have been included, but it's just not made clear in the packaging about Sword of Damocles being the original version, and tracks being studio recordings, and not simply taken from the movie itself. What a wonderful quality vinyl, crystal clear. Beautiful red vinyl! A must for any true fan of the movie!

Tutte, ma proprio tutte le canzoni del Rocky Horror in questa colonna sonora che rappresenta la registrazione in studio che hanno poi utilizzato per il montaggio del film.I dialoghi del film sono ridotti al minimo. Ottima la qualità sonora anche ad alto volume, permette di fruire di alcuni particolari di pianoforte e fiati difficilmente percepibili nel film, inoltre la stessa interpretazione di Curry in Sweet Transvestite o Schmanet Janet è più ricca di sfumature, perché in questa registrazione si apprezzano a pieno le ottime qualità canore e le flessioni della pronuncia e del timbro di voce. Time Warp e Hot Patootie veramente magnifiche, ma è tutto l’album che fila via magnificamente. Inclusa per completezza anche la parte tagliata di Brad, una canzone nettamente inferiore alla media del film che in fase di montaggio hanno giustamente escluso per non rallentare il ritmo narrativo e abbassare la qualità della pellicola. Insomma, anche se la confezione è molto scarna (un foglietto coi testi e qualche foto non avrebbe guastato) il cd è comunque un must per gli amanti di un musical ancora attualissimo a oltre quarant’anni dalla prima uscita, un film che ha tanti livelli di fruizione e che non lascia indifferente chi prima o poi si imbatte nella sua visione....Dr. Scott! Uuh!!

Llegó un día antes de lo esperado y en excelentes condiciones 👌Amé que venga en digipak en lugar de jewel case, porque aunque es una presentación más clásica siempre se termina rompiendo (sobretodo al transportarla 😪), aunque está muy sencillo porque no tiene booklet o algo extra al disco, el arte está padrísimo 🤩 como todo lo de RHPS, tiene un gran audio lo pongas donde lo pongas y canciones adicionales que en otras ediciones no encuentras, principalmente mi favorita de la película: Planet Schmanet Janet ❤Definitivamente, un "absolute treasure" para transilvanos de corazónNOTA IMPORTANTE: Le pongo 4 estrellas porque no viene la versión de la película de The Sword of Damocles, sino la alternativa 😉

Bought it for my dad, he likes it!

Dieser Film ist ein absolutes MUSS für jeden Cineasten. Auch wenn zuhause das Popcornfeeling etwas fehlt, wer soll den Dreck denn wieder wegräumen, ist es immer wieder super den Film mit der Familie anzuschauen! Meat Loaf in jungen Jahren.Hier nur die Musik fürs Auto aber wer den Film kennt weiss was er gerade sieht!
