Sandman Omnibus Volume 1 HC

Initially I was fairly skeptical about the omnibus editions. My initial reason for picking up the first volume was it is was tricky (and expensive) to source the stories individually.However, I am really pleased with both this first volume and the second volume.The print quality is fantastic and the the book is really substantial (a word of warning this isn't one for a commute the volumes are big and they are heavy). Others have said they are disappointed with the lack of bonus material but if you are looking for the stories in a really high quality and substantial format this is for you.

Best comic book for a long time, the story is so engaging and well thought out. Despite having favourite arcs, that doesn’t mean the other arcs are worse since none have been a miss so far.

On the lookout for complete Sandman collections, I was undecided about buying the slip-cased paperback boxset or the premium Absolute editions, but then I realised that for less money (a LOT less in the case of the Absolutes) I could actually get these leather-bound omnibus beasts. I think it's safe to say that I made the right choice!The two volumes are heavy but pleasingly so, both beautiful to look at and hold: genuinely admirable books that, content aside, are works of art in themselves. You'll really feel as though your money was spent on something substantial that will last, hopefully, for a lifetime.The comics? Well, of course they're great. Enough said.Get them before they sell out - or you'll regret it!

Had the original 10 graphic novels, bloody gd upgrade, the colours seem to pop more I've noticed, well worth it

Dieses Buch ist nicht nur ein atemberaubendes Artefakte für das Bücherregal, sondern fasst auch noch den Einstieg in eine der besten Comicgeschichten, die jemals geschrieben wurde. Dabei gefallen mir zwei Aspekte besonders gut:Zum einen ist es die Tiefgründigkeit der Geschichte. Es geht eben um mehr als das Vermöbeln des Bösewichts der Woche. Stattdessen wird auf fast psychedelische Art hinterfragt, was Gut und Böse bedeutet. Ob man Neil Gaimans Antwort für richtig hält, ist vielleicht fraglich, aber das tut dem Gesamtkunstwerk keinen Abbruch.Der zweite Aspekt sind die (mehr oder minder) subtilen Anspielungen. Hier gibt es immer wieder augenzwinkernde Crossover zu anderen DC Comics, wie Swamp Thing, Batman und Hellblazer, aber auch Bezüge zu Dante und der Bibel bleiben nicht aus.Die Investition für dieses Werk ist es definitiv wert und entgegen anderer Rezensionen kam der Foliant unbeschadet an.Gesamtfazit: Großartig!

The price is high, but you get what you pay for! This hardcover collection is a beautiful looking design and the binding is very well done! Arrived quickly and in mint condition! Highly recommend for the collectors!

O exemplar é maravilhoso. A capa que imita o couro é belíssima, as letras, escritas em preto e prateado dão um aspecto de mistério e glamour digno das antigas encadernações. O conteúdo, para quem já conhece a obra é um maravilhoso relembrar contando com as capas originais dos HQ's separando cada capítulo. Embora o valor seja elevado, é uma obra que vale a pena comprar e se você gosta da obra "The Sandma", um ítem obrigatório em sua prateleira. Ah, vale adicionar: a escrita é em inglês, se você leu em português, será bem interessante rever frases na língua original.

La primera vez me llegó con defecto de fabrica, no quería pedir un reembolso así que pedí un remplazo, fácil la primera vez que llego se gano una estrella o si hubiera podido calificar con menos, lo hubiera hecho. La segunda vez que llegó, el remplazo estaba en perfecto estado, con nvío de un día para otro sin Prime, muy buen servicio diría yo. Aunque algunos no lo crean, habemos fans acérrimos del mundo del cómic que nunca hemos finalizado Sandman, yo gracias a este formato lo logré después de años y vaya que de verdad podría ser la mejor narrativa, guión y arte de una novela gráfica, es un "debes de leer", si eres fan de la ficción y fantasía en cualquier tipo de presentación.
