My second of these, top sound and budget price.

I'm going to start with the impression of the cable first as I'd like to think I was unlucky with the particular example I had.Let's assume if you are looking at audioquest cables you accept the premise that cables can effect overall sound quality. With the Evergreen range we are not talking about an eye watering investment and likewise we aren't talking about cutting edge exotic technologies either. These are well made (usually) sensible cables that fit in well with entry level hifi systems and scale up perfectly for mid-tier audiophile setups too. Connectors are of good quality, the minijack has a stepped design that is narrow enough to connect to phones and DAPs with their cases on. The RCA connections have just the right amount of grip, and the cable feels good and solid. The "Y" split wouldn't cater for left and right sockets that are too far apart but worked well on everything I have (I'd guess about a 2" spread at the most).Audio quality - that I perceived - was slightly warm of neutral but not overbearingly so. Mid range frequencies (vocal presence) were good and the high range was well in control - nothing too bright or splashy. Overall a solid performance for the money and not a cable that would let a system down in any major way. Not the last word in timing, but if that's of critical importance to you, you need to be looking higher up the Audioquest range anyway.Onto the problem - about 3 months in and with very little cable swapping I noticed a bit of breakup in the right channel. Very quickly I concluded I had a wire break near the "Y" junction at the RCA end of the cable. There had been no rough treatment, snagging or yanking of the cable and I'm hoping this is just a 1 off.Top marks to Amazon - who had extended the returns period this Christmas due to Covid - I scraped in for a refund. I would buy Audioquest again and had seen the Evergreen range as a sweatspot as they looked a bit more hard wearing than the Tower range - though sonically pretty close. I might reconsider that in the future.

Great addition to my digital hifi. Used with Dragonfly Black and NAD 3020 V2 on a pair of Klipsch RP600Ms. Subtle, increased listening experience. Which is what I expected. Chasing the dragon is, only, about the minute increases in audio experience (IMO). Next up is an AudioQuest PQ2. And the journey continues!Thank you to Filtronique, seller, for getting the package to North Bay unharmed and as expected.

Expensive but worth the price.Nice and stiff, doesn't get all twisted.
