I bought these as a gift for my 2 and 4 year old and inspected them before wrapping them up. This is a great wooden set of stepping stones for littles. The edges are smooth, the numbers are nicely blended in, and the colorful tracing designs on the back will help with fine motor skills. A tracing pencil and tic tac toe pieces are an added bonus. Looking forward to seeing these used for number practice and floor is lava!

I gifted these to a friend for Christmas and we all loved the quality of this item. This is a perfect gift for anyone who wants to encourage open-ended play.

With the proliferation of plastic, plastic, plastic, it is always a wonderful find to discover a well-crafted wooden toy set. This is the kind of set that will stand up to lots and lots of knocking about by little kids and endure. I worked in pre-schools for many years and the wooden toys that were well-made (blocks, balance beams, wooden play cars and trains) always developed a beautiful sheen from the hands and play hours of many children over the years. There is something beautiful and essential in wooden toys for exactly this feature.We got these for the kids to play with when they visit, and they enjoyed them right away. They immediately engaged in an imaginative stepping stone game, and they also rolled them along the floor and turned them into "giant coins" for a pretend game of buying/selling. The wooden discs are polished smooth for safe handling by the little ones, and they are just interesting enough with colors, shapes, etc. on the surfaces, without suggesting too much to the child, meaning: it's all open to the KIDS' imaginations.I like that. So many toys are plastic, overdone, electronic, etc.THESE are so natural that they remind me that this nation was built by generations of children who grew up with simple cornhusk dolls and sticks and hoops and other simple objects. The heart of childhood is that our babies arrive with imaginations and the ability to appreciate the wonders of their environment without really needing tons of "things."These will become family heirlooms, perhaps, for many people getting them for their very young children. They can be passed along to others as the kids grow up. This would be an excellent gift for young ones and also at baby showers as a toy to put away for a few years later when the baby becomes an older child.

I ended up returning these, I felt like for what the price was the value for money was not great. The designs printed or etched on were not etched in deeply and appeared faded. Where the shapes were cut out of the wood circles you could see fraying along the sides of the wood, where pieces of wood chipped off. I expected these to feel much nicer when I got them in person and they just didn't seem high quality to me.

If there's one thing my toddler loves, it's jumping from thing to thing (usually the furniture), so she doesn't have to touch the floor as much. As. Possible.As a parent, it's hard because you want to let them play, but it's annoying and you also don't want them to get hurt.That's why these are perfect. My kid hasn't touched the couches since we got these. For several hours a day, it's jumping from number three to the heart, to number 7, to blue, to whatever is next in rotation. My kid has had problems learning numbers on sight, but these really helped her learn much more quickly than the traditional flashcards we were using.On top of that, she uses the "pencil" provided to trace the numbers and shapes, which has also greatly improved her writing.Our blocks are a bit dirty, because she uses them literally every day to jump on, but you can tell that overall they're fine - the blocks are very sturdy and stand up to day to day use.My only complaint is that the numbers can be a little hard to see unless they're in a certain light. It makes it hard to use them at night.

I bought these for my 2 toddlers. They all absolutely love them. These are so much fun, very well made, super cute and have tons of room for creative play. Will be keeping these for along time and passing down. We use them as stepping stones over the hot lava floor, we build them up to a tower to jump off from and we roll them along the floor to see how far we can get them. I would recommend them 100%.

These wooden stepping stones are solid, sturdy, and if anything a bit heavy for what I expect now a days. That’s not to say they are overly heavy just seem to be made of a solid material which should stand up to repeated play and even use as the base for the balance beams that are an add on for this item. The numbers and other designs are painted onto the stones and while not all of them are perfectly painted that adds to the charm form me.The included carrying case, cardboard packaging inserts turned game boards, and the tic tac toe pieces all add to the charm and usefulness of this item. I can’t wait for spring when we will have far more ability to try these outdoors in various environments and with more of the kids friends to play.If I had to find a downside to these it would be that I now need to go look for the balance beam parts that go with this set for future use.

I absolutely adore these (and so do my kids). If you know a family who likes the montessori play style than these are great. First, it comes in a nice giftable box, they are packaged very well wnsuring no damage to the product. The wooden stepping stones are heavier and sturdier than I expected. The designs are very nice a minimal. My kids are 8, 4, and 1 and they all use these.Overall I am very happy with this product and would absolutely recommend!
