So far so good
It's a float switch; attached in place of the old one and it's working great. The price was good, too. Others had commented that none of these last for more than a year or so. We'll see.

It’s a bilge pump. It works. It does NOT have a float switch.
It clearly states it has an “Automatic Float Switch”. It does not. You can fit your own, but it absolutely did not come with one. Perhaps that was/is in the fine print somewhere, but I couldn’t and still cannot see that specified anywhere. The reality is, pretty much any and every bilge pump can be retrofitted with a float switch. I was looking for one that actually HAD one onboard, or at least included as part of the design. I could have purchased another pump for half the price and spent the remainder on a decent float switch. But nope, now I have to fork out a few extra dollars for a float switch and fit it. Not that big of a deal or a job, just annoying when you’re expecting something onboard-included.
