Works great with everything you need but the co2 tank. Great way to save on co2 costs

I got frustrated after the second time I had an exchange SodaStream CO2 canister from Target that was effectively empty, despite having a fresh shrinkwrap seal. With this and a 25 lb. tank I should have fizz for a year, and no longer have to buy expensive, small, heavy cylinders that have been shipped across the ocean and back to be refilled.I may be paranoid but I do worry about the volume of CO2 in a large tank and the risk of leaks or rupture from both kits like these and the plasticky internals of the SodaStream. There's a huge expansion ratio and a 25 lb. tank can displace a lot of oxygen in the event of a large leak. This is probably more of a concern if you have pets or small kids living closer to the floor, where the gas will settle. Because of this concern I simply turn the CO2 tank valve off after I'm done carbonating (as the instructions advise you to do anyway).

I just got this and already I can't get the line to hold enough pressure. There is a very weak flow of gas to the sodasteam. I try turning up the pressure on the CO2 canister but it won't go above 300 so I'm sure the this line is faulty.

I use this to connect a 5 lb co2 tank to my sodastream machine instead of the little screw-in cartridges that come with the machine. This has reduced my cost for carbonated water to almost zero, which makes a great cost-savings over buying diet cokes and sparkling water in the store.

I've been using sodastream for over 10 years and refilling my own bottles from a 20# CO2 siphon tank for at least 8. While that has served me well saving time, and money compared to using the company bottler exchange program it still added inefficient steps involved in the refill process. This product has solved that for me and best of all I was able to get it all set up in less than 10 minutes. The most time consuming was cutting a notch in the base of my old genesis so the tubing would feed underneath the device to prevent crimping. I did coat the threads on both connections with food grade silicone grease to prevent leakage but I'm not sure that was really needed. It works great, installs quickly with no leaks and plenty of fizz.

Works well initially, but the gasket broke and started having buildup

You will have to use a socket and a ratchet to reach up inside the Ninja Thirsti where the CO2 threaded inlet is and screw in the quick connection supplied in the kit, hook up the hoses and you are set (5 min install). I have made 400 sodas so far and the gauge hasn't even budged on my 5lb CO2 tank. The gauge is a nice touch ! Don't believe the ninja when it tells you that it's out of CO2 it's actually running on a timer and doesn't know when it's actually out. This is an excellent buy !!
