what I like about the cottons is that you know the brand. Have used this brand for many years. Never ever had any problems with the quality. A very good range of colours for summer clothing.

Great threads from Coats, leaves my machine clean in the shuttle area, no fluff, no broken threads, good and strong. Bought both the light and the dark versions of these threads and I found them equal to, if not better than the top German brand we all know, at a fraction of the price. The box is a bit flimsy though, recommend picking up with two hands, I tried with one hand and it twisted and spilled the contents everywhere. Some people have mentioned that the end can be difficult to find initially, some spools have the end sticking out, and others have the end tucked in. In all cases the ends of the threads are located near one of the spool ends. Look for the single horizontal thread which is not at the normal winding angle, this just needs teasing out with a pin or needle. See photos showing both cases.
