If you can see light from under the freshly tattoo'd area you are not applying ink deep enough into the skin. Proper needle/ink depth is very important for tattoos to remain dark and vibrant. Great Product! With Patience You Should Have Great Results.
I saw the Shark Tank Ad and decided to purchase the original model...So far I have had great results. I did notice that not every spot that I lasered, removed but within a few treatments the spots lightened and my body removed the ink.I was surprised at how well the machine works. I ordered the newer version to try out the wide tip and also the new features. I am excited to use the tip that helps bring the ink to the surface and also the dial feature to have more control.I will update more as I go. Do not be discouraged about the light pain or blisters. Your body heals them and I have yet to see a scar. This does not hurt any more than getting the tattoo itself...Very Impressed and well worth it. Plus it saves a ton of money!

This was a terrible product! I requested a refund right away and sent this packing!!! This did not work on my tattoos or my husbands. If you would like some deep blistering burns then this would be the perfect product for you! I wish I could give zero stars!

It is worth giving this a shot
Honestly, I used this once then opted for actual laser removal treatment elsewhere. I'm reviewing this - and giving it a high rating - because I came to realize soon after, that the area I tried this device on actually worked. I should have waited longer and gave it a fair shake before turning away from it, but at this point I'm four sessions into outpatient treatment. What I can tell you is that the two "test" areas did blister like hell, but the result was actually really good once fully healed. When I started going in for laser removal sessions we skipped over the area I treated with this device as not to damage the skin. Soon after, I found that those areas healed faster than the actual removal process! Even now, 18 weeks later, the best results I have are at the areas I treated with this device first. I think that for small tattoos (like an inch or less), this thing would do the job - and be far less expensive. I think for the money, it's worth trying. Do it on a small area and WAIT for it to fully heal. It may take a while to accomplish a full removal, but seriously the expensive, outpatient laser removal takes a long time too and, depending on your skin, can be even more irritating.

Glad I only done test spots.
Unfortunately I have to give a bad review of this product. I had high hopes this would do what I needed it to do but it has failed. I used the product as instructed starting with test spots. First go was on 2 very small and faded tattoos at the lowest setting for 5 seconds. There was no sign 4 days later I had even done anything. I then tried it at the lowest setting for 10 seconds again nothing. So i went to half power 4.2 I believe for 10 seconds. I got results this time. It has burned holes into my skin that will most definitely scar, not to mention it was like holding a lighter to my skin while doing the treatment. It also appears I tortured myself for no reason as these holes heal it looks like the tattoos are the same as they were before hand only with a new fresh scar on top of it. I'll know for sure when these ever heal up. I couldn't even imagine what would happen at full power and time. One good thing is it only burnt me where ink was at not the uninked skin around it. Glad I only done test spots though. This product just didn't work for me.

A Fantastic Product
I'm going to start by saying, this is a great product with results! I was skeptical at first and ended up returning the device because I didn't see any results! I didn't know it could take up to 3 weeks to notice it being removed. I only had it for about a week. After 3 weeks went by since I used it, I saw incredible results! It does what it says! I immediately reordered it. I was foolish to return it in the first place! I highly recommend this product!

Amazing! Best bang for the buck!!!I entered a contest & recieved a coupon, after the contest was over. I could not enter the coupon on this site & eventually it was purchased directly, through the vendor.To my surprise, my wife gave me an early xmas present.The IXL tattoo remover is working great & a revolutionary product! I did not want to pay thousands, as quoted by a laser clinic ($200 x 8 -12 sessions). So I took a chance on the Neo IXL tattoo removal technology & it is paying off! The Black Magic IPL design looks like a it came from alien technology & simple to use. I realize patience, diligence & good aftercare will give me the success I want, which is a clean removal & save all those Benjamins. Originally, I looked at it, as a one time charge versus paying with every treatment on a credit card & eventually jacking up my balance. This is one of the best gifts ever! I recommend this product to anyone wanting & thinking about removing tattoos. This product will save me lots of money! I am getting spots of removal on green black red and yellow. It has been less than two weeks & performing quite rapidly & beyond my expectations. I have a large cobra, colored tattoo & also recommend the 1/2 inch magnetic tip. I will post pics of my results with the 1/4 inch shortly. The Neo IXL is a bargain & truly works. This product is definitely a "bang for the buck"!
