Q: This kit has small pieces and seems more geared toward older kids. The description says 13 months - 8 years. Is that an error?

It does have smaller pieces. Nothing that could be easily swallowed. The concept of the product is geared more to the 4-12 year age group.

Q: Does this kit include an eraser? IF not, can you recommend one that does include it?

Hi Matthew, thanks for your question! Like most rollerball pens, our ink is not erasable. However, if you made a mistake in your circuit you can simply poke a hole through the silver trace & paper with a paperclip or sharp pencil tip to break it.

Q: is the ink refillable or do you just buy replacement pens

You buy replacements, usually sold in packs of 1, 5, or 10.

Q: Does this come with an instruction book that describes circuits and teaches - or is it just the parts and use your own imagination?

It comes with a great instruction book with good examples and even lets you try out different circuits in the book
