Hongdian Raw Brass Fountain Pen Extra Fine Nib Classic Design Smooth Writing Copper Pen with Converter and Pen Case Set

For some reason my husband decided that he wanted to use a fountain pen, so I got him this for Christmas. I went with the beautiful green color to go with his eyes.He says that the pen is easy to hold, feels good in his hand. He really likes the green color. The nub writes smoothly. It is well balanced.Who knows, perhaps he will start writing me love letters just so he can use his new pen.I gave this pen to my husband for a Christmas present, and his review follows:The last time I used a fountain pen was in the 1950s at elementary school. I believe it was a Wearever pen and I remember the plastic cartridges used to refill the pen when it ran out of ink. I thought it would be interesting to try using one again.Writing with a pen is so much slower than using a word processing app, which has been my primary method of writing for the last 40 years. I discovered the slower speed of writing with a fountain pen has some advantages. It gives me more time to think about what I am about to write rather than just typing away at the keyboard and then spending more time editing my text than writing the first draft.If you do quite a bit of writing on a word processor, I'd recommend trying a pen for some tasks. I like this pen. It glides smoothly over the paper. It feels heavy and substantial. There is a satisfying click when the cap is placed over the point, so you know it is firmly attached. I also like the grip and how it feels in my hand when I write with it.I believe this pen has cartridges available, but I filled it using bottled ink. When filling with bottled ink, make sure the breather hole in the middle of the pen point (nib) is submerged below the ink level in the bottle.

I accidentally ran across this pen on Amazon when looking for something to get my order past $35.00 for free shipping (thank you Amazon). It was a $20.00 pen on sale for $16.80. Having bought a Lamy Studios at $230.00 or even a Lamy Safari at $35.00, it seemed like it might be an EDC that you wouldn't worry about losing.Picking up the pen, it does not feel like a cheap pen, the weight and balance is really nice, the matte finish and diamond pattern looks great, love the clean look! I think the barrel is anodized brass, hope the finish holds up for every day use,It might be a bit small for big hands. Writes great on 20# bond. Converter was easy to use, Nice click when closing the pen. Nice job, Asvine!Will add the brass, stainless and dark blue on my next order!

I've had one of these before, and when a coworker stole it, I had to get a replacement right away! It's a simple design, slender but comfortable, and I've never had any issues with it! It can leave a very fine line, which is part of what I like about it, although that dies mean it's less suitable for fancier inks with additives and things. But if you just want something that writes smooth and clean for YEARS, this is your pen!

Foi uma feliz surpresa comprar esta caneta. Já havia tido uma triste experiência há alguns anos com uma Jinhao pela mesma faixa de preço que esta e, por conta disso, não apostei muito nesta Hongdian ao efetuar o pedido, comprando-a muito mais por curiosidade sem alimentar grandes expectativas (afinal, é uma caneta relativamente barata e de marca chinesa). Contudo, para minha enorme alegria, esta Hongdian é ótima, além de muito bonita é extremamente funcional!!! A pena dela é macia e gostosa ao deslizar no papel, o fluxo de tinta é fluido na perfeita medida, sem falhar e sem se acumular em pingos de tinta durante a escrita (coisas que tanto me incomodavam em minha antiga Jinhao), e o traçado feito por ela é fino e uniforme, perfeito para a escrita sem muita variação de espessura, o que é ótimo para mim. Adorei essa caneta da Hongdian!!!

La pluma es bonita, pesada y escribe bien, lo malo del modelo blanco es que no es blanco es un tono como beige, por lo demás está bien.
