Simple, Cute, and it Works
Enjoyed this little project. Takes less than half an hour to put together. I bought a 3V battery box (2 AA batteries with a switch) and put a little 2-pin DuPont connector on it to power this wee kit. Fits right onto the power header. For some fun solder practice, this is a bargain at $7. In addition, it's fun to hold it up to someone's face during a conversation and watch the LEDs blink as they talk. See how long they will yammer (and blink) about their day before they ask you to turn it off.

Easy Little kit
I was a little intimidated when this came because it was so small. But it turned out to not be hard to build and it worked right away. I soldered leads onto the power points on it and then used the power from an iPhone charger and it worked right away. A little cramped but not hard to build. I would recommend it to beginners.

Quick to build, fun to use
The media could not be loaded. Small number of components, straightforward to build. Lots of fun if you’re into sound-based circuits. I’m a beginner and this worked the first time through.

Wrong component sent with kit
My son was disappointed that this kit did not work at first. This kit requires a 1m resistor in the R2 place, but the kit came packaged with one each of 1k, 4.7k, and 10k resistors. Luckily I had a 1m resistor on hand to replace the 1k and it works now. A lesson on learning to solder included an unexpected lesson on troubleshooting a circuit.

Wrong parts
The supplied schematic shows the use of three resistors: a 4.7K, a 10K and a 1M. The 4.7 K resitor rung out spot on to the desired value. The 10K was close enough. The 1M never even materialized. Instead they threw in a sketchy ~500K ohm piece. Built it with the supplied parts and it barely worked. Pulled the 500K and replaced it with a 1M and whaddyaknow...it works as advertised.I enjoy buying quality products. This wasn't quality.

For basic soldering practice
The media could not be loaded. I’m a very inexperienced solderer. This kit provided feedback about how I did which was helpful.I would recommend this to any novice.

power could be an issue
Bought this for my son to teach him some soldering and electronics. Was fairly impressed how well he soldered everything but then came time for the test... it was powered by 2 pin connectors. Luckily for me I have stuff to Macgyver a battery connection. In the end it worked and he was happy.
