Q: What's the use by date on these please?

A 'used by' date does not apply to this naturally preserved product - there will be a 'best before date' label stuck on the back of the packet which generally is about a year, however, it would still be edible after this. Don't think you should have any left in a year's time anyway as they really are delicious, even just for snacking. (Just for information:- the 'best before' date on my recently bought pack is July 2018.)

Q: Are these Unsulphured?

Yes these apricots are definitely unsulphured. Sulphured apricots are pale orange in colour whereas these are much darker, natural sun dried tasty organic apricots. They are a bit drier than the sulphured apricots but this can be remedied by soaking in warm water for a short while. No nasty chemical anyway. Hope this helps.

Q: when were these produced, and what's the use by date?

Not sure as we no longer have the packet - All eaten; they were very good and not too dry - we chop them into the muesli - sorry not to be more informative. Best ask the seller - Hatton Hill products have always been good. I have their sour cherries too.

Q: Are these crops treated with Copper Sulphate as a pesticide?

Not being an apricot grower, I cannot guarantee that this does not happen, but possibly you are thinking of the notice "un-sulphured" on some dried apricots which I understand refers to the use of sulphur dioxide which is used to preserve the bright colour of apricots after drying. I don't think many growers use Bordeaux Mixture any more which I think is copper sulphate . I prefer my food as "un treated" as possible and also prefer the texture and taste of organic & usulphured dried apricots. Not a totally informative answer but all I can offer.
