I believe these are the best solution to securing many cupboards and large drawers. They are better than those plastic catches, because these don't allow the cupboard to open even a little bit thus preventing little fingers getting trapped. They are easy to use and fairly easy to fit, and are very strong. They also don't mess up the appearance or functionality of your furniture - there is nothing to see outside. The latches have an override lever too so they can be temporarily (or permanently) disabled when not in use (handy for the evening after little one has gone to bed!).My only issues were that they are too bulky for smaller drawers. Also the 3M tape supplied to secure the items works too well - if you don't place it in exactly the right place first time - good luck modifying the placement! I had to spend some time removing the 3M completely and then gluing them into the right place. So, fiddlier than simple plastic hooks, but worth the effort.

These have three parts: the key (magnetic), the latch (also magnetic, with a moving lever) and the catch (which sticks to a flat surface that runs straight back from the door).Would not fit all cupboards: you need a large enough flat surface running straight back behind the handle side of the door. My under-sink cupboard has double doors with only a thin post in the middle, and no top, so it was a challenge to install these.Given that challenge, they were OK to install, and seem strong enough given that they're only stuck on with sticky pads. Luckily the adhesive isn't too strong as a number of positions that I tried did not work (did not latch when closed, or unlatched themselves when pulled open) so I had to reposition both the latch and the catch many times before I got it working.Because there wasn't an obvious place for the catch, I tried without, hoping that the lever in the latch would stick against the door frame, but it just opened when pulled. I also tried mounting the catch sideways (parallel to the door), but that didn't work either, same problem. I eventually had to stick the catch to the side of the middle post, which isn't really deep enough, so not all of the sticky pad is on the post, but it seems OK so far.

I'd used standard 'over the cupboard door locks' previously - unsightly & awkward. These are absolutely awesome. Basically they keep your cupboards closed without looking hideous. Our very determined toddler has managed on one occasion to open a cupboard but it took so much effort (& he was immediately found out, he flew backwards across the room when the internal lock finally became unstuck) he hasn't attempted it again. Wouldn't go back to the external ones now.

Brilliant solution for childproofing in the kitchen! We tried other plastic type catches / devices which were just unsightly and awkward to use on busy cupboards. These are discreet and easy to use and keep our little one safe. A really clever idea - highly recommend these if you are deciding which type of locks to use!!

Only had the product a week now but it seems to work really well. Our 13 month old boy has a real go at trying to open our kitchen cupboards every morning where we have all the usual harmful cleaning products etc. With these locks in place he can't open them so far.They were a little bit fiddly installing, but once you get the two parts of the lock in the right position and most importantly let the sticky adhesive set for 24 hours then the locks are really secure. I like the fact you can also push the lever on the lock and change the setting of the lock to OFF if you want to deactivate the lock.Overall a very good product and the fact it uses adhesive instead of screws does not mean you have to drill holes in your cupboard door. Definitely recommend.

Arrived very promptly. Installs in seconds. Only comment there is that you need to clean the surfaces well before adhering the parts (I did not do so with one and I could never get it to stick). I give two thumbs up to the magnet key which works fantastically. The only thing I would change in the design is the option to use small screws to secure with extra integrity.

These are simply the best child safety locks you can get. There is no issue with the adhesive pads not being strong enough, as some reviewers have said. I imagine those reviewers have pulled them off and tried to re-stick. I've reused some and superglued them on, as they're invisible from outside and also you can switch them to unlock mode if you want, so I don't mind having those ones there permanently. They are brilliant, can't recommend enough.

These are slightly fiddly to install, but once you've stuck things in the correct place they work very well. I still try to open the doors without using the key every time, I guess I'll learn eventually. As they're just stuck on, once they're no longer necessary you can easily remove them.
