A must have.....
....if you own a dash cam, IP Camera or any device which uses a micro or standard SD card. I had two similar to these which no longer work, they weren't the same quality and only took standard SD cards. I place this in a USB port on my TV and viewed some dash cam footage. I then inserted a new 32gig micro card, formatted it and pressed pause on my remote. On watching play back there is now discernable difference in picture quality. I do like the inclusion of an LED, so many USB devices, especially thumb drives have no 'at glance' indicator of their status. Good quality build with a pleasant feel to it. Oh, it obviously works fine on laptop and PC.

Easy to use and arrived promptly
Card reader worked fine straight out the box, easy to use and is a convenient size. Can't comment on durability so much as I haven't had it too long, but it looks fairly sturdy. I would recommend this product as it seems like good value for money.

Did its job.
I'm not too tech minded but it did the job I bought it for. I needed to view the memory card from my dash cam. My laptop does not accept memory cards direct so this is the bit of tech I needed.

I like this because you can insert either SD or microSD ...
Arrived quickly and extremely well packaged. These are handy for people who don't want lots of cables around them. The card reader is in its own little package and is ready to use straight away.I like this because you can insert either SD or microSD without two different items.I've been using this for my camera SD card and the card from our car camera. It makes it so much easier and less candles and mess. When the card is inserted the green light flashes and will auto pop up. This is ideal for everyone to use.Definitely recommend

Excellent if you need an SD card reading.
You know that little drawer in your laptop for SD cards? Why is it detachable? Why would all those big brained folks that design laptops to be sleeker, smarter, and user friendly, make the very smallest component that you can access from the outside a teeny, tiny, little square of plastic that is COMPLETELY REMOVABLE from the main body of the laptop? You can't pull the disc drive tray right out, can you? And you would KNOW if that were gone, wouldn't you? You could easily notice that the disc drive tray were missing, even if you weren't using it- even if it wasn't you that had pushed the button to make it pop out, because the disc drive tray HAS A BUTTON. Not so the lowly SD card drawer, where a spider coughing in another room provides enough force to remove the drawer from the laptop, in such a way that defies all laws of gravity by projecting it far enough from the laptop that it won't be recovered. Never. Seen. Again.I found my old pre-cloud Android phone, and realised I have never gotten rid of it because it still held so many baby pictures of my son, and photos of my dear departed dog. All those pictures were on the SD card. "Aha!" I thought. "Load them onto the cloud via the laptop".After using all the conventional swear words, then making several new ones up, I bought this SD card reader.

Big, bulky and (slightly) bent
It does what it's supposed to do without problems, however it is very large, so it sticks out far from the side of my computer. This also causes it to obstruct the other USB port next to it, and I am unable to use the other USB port. I have to remove this if I want to use the other port on the side of my computer. The metal part that plugs into the computer is also slightly bent; it is not proportional to the stick itself.

Nice affordable and fast SD Card reader.
Does exactly what you expect it to.Place SD Card into Card reader, Plug card reader into USB 3 port, read\write stuff to SD card. Was nice and fast at reading and writing, and had no issues getting it to work.

A tidy piece of kit for 3D printing programmes.
Not used it yet but tried it out on my laptop, it worked nicely. Can’t wait until I can use it to learn 3D printing ( when I get the nerve up).
