Access to History: The USA and Vietnam 1945-75 3rd Edition

This was a very good, cohesive and factual textbook that helped me alongside my A level studies. Clear, factual and pleasently presented. The combination of images and text makes for a more comfortable read. I used these books for my A levels in Fascism & Nazism. So I will happily recommend any of these to anyone.They're layout is suitable for A level and above really with all the depth of knowledge you'd require for both the coursework and exam sections of the modules.This particular Access to History is very big (nearly an inch in width) compared to my other books I have, this one is the heartiest.However, as per usual, loads of information and the sections along the side are great as revision activities and/or exercises to test your own knowledge.

the book was recommended by school so it does the job but the book has a tendancy to be to "wordy" so it is often harder to actually revise from the book as it has to be reduced in order to revise from it. If your looking for a textbook then 5*'s but personally for me I do not believe it fits my needs completely as a student in accordance to some of the other material I have since viewed.

I have read quite a few books on the vietnam conflict & was looking for a book which explained a bit more as to why america became involved in vietnam. This book explains every thing that happened from the lead up of the war to the very end. It is a study book, but great for just wanting to have a better understanding of the political, moral, military aspect of the war.

This is the most useful book I've read on this subject. It is informative and easy to read. Not like the normal dry textbooks. It is well laid out so you don't have to flip back and forth to get the authors meaning(s). As a Vietnam vet trying to get some answers to many questions still, it is a superb book.

Very good brief summary. Aimed at students. Never ducked once however.

Does what it says on the tin, or rather the back of the book.......... It tells you about Vietnam and USA history. Perfect if you're studying the history of Vietnam and and the USA
