However, I am so pleased with this skipping rope by Golds Gym I feel an obligation to give full credit where credit is due. It is sometimes difficult to assesss the potential of certain items when ordering from the Internet and for me, this was one of those occasions. In the event, I am not disappointed with my purchase. In my opinion, at the incredibly reasonable [almost give away] price, this is a product of excellent quality. It comes in a nice robust box for storage purposes. The "rope" construction itself is robust and durable, the grips are ergonomically balanced and sit very comfortably in the hands when the rope is in motion. Mechanically this skipping rope is 'sound' and have no doubt [with perseverance, on my part] it will be put to good use and such is its robust construction, I am confident it will stand the test of time and provide many hours of satisfying, panting, puffing, gasping and breathlessness, all to my benefit, I hope! The only 'niggly' comment I would make is that, potentially, the 'plugs' in the base of the handles could prove susceptible to 'popping-out' but if you are made aware of this, then they can simply be monitored to prevent any loss. A carefully administered spot of appropriate glue may prevent this from happening and would please encourage you not to let this negligible 'nuisance' prevent you from investing in a quality product that 'does what it says on the tin'. No, it won't count the calories being burned or the number of rotations but if you want value for money and a durable product without 'bells and whistles' then I have no hestitation in thoroughly recommending this product.

Bought this for my daughter for her fitness training. She needed a 'proper' skipping rope, but she is only 11 so most adult ones are too long. A previous reviewer noted that this rope is easy to shorten and for me that was essential. All you have to do is remove a cap at the end of each handle, pull the unwanted length into the handle, and shift the 'stopper' using pliers. It is a good weight and seems durable. It is now perfect for her and was very good value.

Great heavy skipping rope, fast delivery. I had one of these before and lasted me over 10 years. I wouldn't buy any other skipping rope. Great for uper body strength and toning. Top quality.

Is this item legit? I should have read the reviews for this item...! I was so happy to finally be in a position to purchase a renowned golds gym professional rope.... Lasted one skipping session!!! Plastic ends fell off first (both sides) showing the poor build quality (piece of metal bent round the rope no better than a washer / what happened to the three point bearing swivel thingy or something???) poorly waited rope when skipping felt lop sided! I have bought better imitations that have lasted longer... Really really disappointed

Lets get one thing straight I am crap at skipping!I have had a few skipping ropes. Metal cross fit ones, leather ones, plastic cheaper onesFinally bought this one after borrowing my local gyms one.Very forgiving, easy to use, So smooth, Doesn't get tangled up or anything.I am still rubbish at skipping but i continue to progress with this rope.

This is a high quality heavy duty skipping rope. Adjustable, durable and a decent weight. The materials seem slightly cheap but for the price you can't really complain.
