Makes Men more manly and cooks awesome food.
I have been a man for the last 34 years and as such believe myself to be very good at BBQ. So when I saw this I felt I had to have one. I was at first worried about the price but as soon as it turned up you could tell that the quality deserved it. The whole assembly is stainless steel; no corners have been cut in its manufacture and it is a great example of design to meet a need.As for cooking, I have had great success with roasting chicken and also recently did a really nice cider pork loin - this will hold over 8kg of meat (or veg) so it's great for entertaining. The whole thing then packs down into a carry case.Somethings I have noticed:If you're using the supplied firetray make sure you use good quality charcoal or you'll end up with too much ash in the tray before you have finished cooking (not all charcoal is created equal - Penbead briquettes are very good)The supplied beer holster will only take cans or 330ml bottles so is not practical for old man beerIt's worth keeping a small piece of plastic or card to push between the battery contacts when storing to make sure the motor doesn't run when storedUsing this Bbq will make you feel more manly than driving a sports car at a fraction of the price ..... Although I reckon girls can use it too!

Excellent product, well designed and built
I purchased the Auspit Gold package after seeing it on the BBQ pit boys youtube channel.Although simplistic in use, from the high level of functionality, you can tell that the designer has really thought about this and used it.I have used this, mainly using the firetrough as most of the camp sites do not allow fires. I injected the chicken, chopped the veg, mixed with a bit of salt and oil, popped the chicken on the spit, the veg in the spitmate, a half dozen sausages on the end of the spit, used a weber chimney starter to get the coals running set it running and that was it. No fuss, no mess, I could chat and drink rather than worry about the food. I quick adjustment of the cooking height every now and then and that's it - a beautiful meal for 5 people. So good I even now use it at home.
