This is fantastic
After lots of looking at review ms myself and checking YouTube videos etc i decided to purchase this temperature controller. It arrived quickly and well packaged. Once set up it just does exactly what’s asked of it. Resulting in not relying on the thermostat of the heater alone a really good line of defence. It is really effective and keeps my temperature in my Marine tank within 0.3 of a degree. Absolutely great bit of kit!

One for the marine-reef keeper.
Been looking at controllers for my reef heater and nearly purchased the Ink Bird like most others. However came across this DD and so far completely over the moon with it. Its nifty size and sleek look suits a modern reefer and its accuracy is amazing. Easy to set up, was up and running within minutes and I feel quietly confident of its quality not to fail.YouTube channel Kenty's Kicks for video of it and my tank.At £45 it is more expensive, about £15 more than the Ink Bird, but the DD controller just feels proper reefing quality! So happy with my purchase.

Does the job well, but more generous wiring length and 2 heating sockets could help.
General recommendation for aquarium heaters is to use 2 as opposed to one of higher wattage. I am using this controller to control an in line Hydor heater mounted in a cabinet below my 6 ft Aquarium, and an in tank titanium heater. The controller is mounted above the Aquarium at one end. This controller has 2 sockets one for heating, one for cooling. I do not use the cooling socket and therefore have to use a short extension lead to provide 2 heating sockets. That was a bit of a pain and for my purposes I would have preferred 2 heating sockets as part of the unit. The setting of temperature control was easy. It can control to +or- 0.3degC or can be set with a wider band than that. I control to +1deg C and -1degC from set point (25 deg C) in order to limit the number of switchings. I believe doing so should increase the life of the controller. There are 2 negatives relating to the controller's use with my aquarium, namely :- As I wanted to mount the controller above the aquarium at the same end as the sensor, and also wanted to mount the heater in the flow discharge at the opposite end of the aquarium (for max heater life) with having a 6 ft aquarium this meant that the wiring was a "stretch". I ultimately had to use 2 extension leads to serve the 2 heaters as breaking into the wiring would have no doubt invalidated the guarantee. The other negative is that to mount the temperature display neatly at the front of the tank was also a bit of a stretch (the tank is 2ft wide) made harder by the fact that the temp display was bottom fed with its wiring.

Awesome kit, love it!
Set it and forget it, as all things should be!Used on a coral reef aquarium controlling a Schego Titanium Heater and D-D Chiller.Fine tuning is simple and it’s proven to hold my systems temperature within 0.02c. That’s very impressive and ideal for my intended use.The display stays illuminated at all times. I like that feature but it does make me question how long the LCD display will survive... at the price it’s sold for I’d replace it if it did die on me I’m thinking. Well worth it considering all the benefits of a stable temperature that this device brings.
