Amazing units, perfect for cars without temp gauges.
The media could not be loaded.  ***For users reporting that the cable falls out of the back, the XS cable needs quite a bit of force to push in and click into place. If it hasn’t clicked, it isn’t locked!***I’ve used and purchased both the Lufi XF as well as this Lufi XS and both work great for my cars. For my Lotus Evora GT (supercharged) as well as my BMW X5 (diesel twin turbo); both lack temperature gauges, with only an indicator light when engine is cold or when engine is overheating. These gauges are easy to install, and once settings are adjusted it is very useful in daily driving or spirited driving. Latency can be adjusted and as you can see in the video, the display closely matches the rpm needle. For spirited driving, the large bar display works great, and you can set the rpm when shift light turns on, the display flashes and sharp beep tells you to shift, so you can keep your eyes on the road.Customer support is great, I noticed that the logo selection did not include Lotus, I reached out to inquire, and within a couple days they sent me a file to upgrade the unit and add the logo. See video. There are so many more features about this unit, but the summary is I’ve tried many units before settling on the Lufi ones, and these have the lowest latency as well as best customer service support.

It’s a neat gadget!
I really like this thing. It’s small & lightweight and seems to be constructed fairly well. The obd2 harness that is included, not so much. Other reviews have pointed this out. The harness can be a little tricky to plug in, but if you take a second to play with it, it secures firmly in place to the device. This wasn’t my concern though. The plug itself (not the obd2 side) is very cheap and flimsy. I’m afraid it couldn’t resist much tension if it were to get accidentally tugged/dropped with it attached to the device. So my advice : be careful when installing. This is a handy little tool to have access to in your vehicle. You can monitor more inputs from the ECU than are displayed on your gauge cluster while being able to view and erase DTCs at the same time, with the same device. The user interface is fairly straight forward to use but there are definitely some conveniences that could be added for a better experience (a button hold feature, pop up’s, better English, etc.). I was pretty impressed with the accuracy of the tach and gps speed monitoring. The inclinometer and gyro functions aren’t really something I’m going to be exploring with for my personal use, but there seems to be a lot of potential with those functions. The install was super easy. If you’re like me and don’t like the tacky look of the mounting plate, I’d invest in a magnetic phone mount that you could use with it instead. The location of your obd2 port will definitely dictate the route you take with the harness, but I found it easy enough to just route it straight through the dash and out the steering column. No modification is really necessary. I only have about 2 inches of the harness actually showing. Grant it, this will vary dependent upon your own vehicle.Bottom line - it’s a little pricey. But it’s cool. It works well. And in my eyes, it’s preventative maintenance. I think this device would benefit anybody who wants just a little more than what is displayed on their stock cluster.

Keep on eye on levels & gauges with multiple displays!
Works great. Make sure it’s compatible with your vehicle’s year. Updated the unit to the latest firmware when it arrived. Has multiple functions and gauges to keep you on top of temperatures. I make sure my oil and water temps are around 190 degrees before really pushing the car. Plenty of custom colors and adjustments. RPM color can be changed, and audio sound added (beep) for shift indicator. Rear connection is flimsy so make sure its secure when mounting. I used an aftermarket windshield mount since I couldn’t find a flat surface on the dash for the stock suction cup. "Run time" is particularly useful to know exactly how long you’ve been driving and suggested to the developers an auto reset for “run trip” to monitor the distance traveled. ODO already keeps track of overall distance. Both can be manually reset to 0. Rarely use the sensitive gyro functions, but still exploring the unit and would possibly require a sturdier mount/flat surface to get more accurate readings. The auto light detection/text dimmer works well and is clear at day/night with minimal reflection issues. Overall, IMO something that you look at daily, is well worth the money to keep you alert for possible issues & play with the features.

Best available on the market
Quick revision: after seeing my complain about the screen with my sunglasses, someone from customer service reached out to me and sent me the new version, which did fix the issue.I previously bought a cheaper knockoff and this is way smoother and way easier to read (when driving). The only downside is that the screen becomes black when i wear my polarized Oakley sunglasses.
