I must admit that I was quite astonished that I was unable to get a decent bone saw from our butcher's merchants locally and had to resort to online shopping. A decent saw is essential as I buy half and quarter carcasses to butcher myself. My last 16" saw had finally given up after nearly fifty years use and the blades to fit were no longer made, and shopping around I found this one.The saw itself is excellent quality as you would expect from an old established manufacturer of catering equipment, fine grade stainless steel with replaceable blades (not supplied) and a modern synthetic hygienic handle. The saw sizes are now metric and slightly larger than my original one but are kitchen quality stainless steel throughout. I have other Ansonia tools purchased in Spain and all are excellent but quite expensive in the UK, Amazon was definitely the most economical way to buy. Delivery was from Spain and took something over a week but quicker and cheaper than buying direct from the manufacturer.Excellent purchase.

This saw was disappointing because the frame started to rust after being washed. Apart from that it was as expected and did the job I bought it for.

I bought this saw specifically for the preparation of deer carcases and was most disappointed to see the frame rust after a single cleaning. The saw frame seems to be made from an uncoated brushed mild steel and is thus prone to rusting. This saw is wholly unsuitable for use with food destined for either human or animal consumption and should not be marketed as a butcher's saw.

J'ai pu utiliser cette scie hier. Les os ont été sciés comme si c'était du beurre, un pur plaisir. Démontage très simple pour nettoyage. Je pense qu'un étui plus solide devrait être fourni avec mais c'est un détail. Voilà un achat que je ne regrette absolument pas et que je recommande chaudement.
