Sorted my wireless problem
I needed it to boost a Brennan B2 which was struggling to pick up/maintain a signal on home wireless network. Plugged it in, no need to load software because it is the same RT5370 as supplied with the B2 so it worked straight away, vast improvement in reception/download speeds right from the reboot. The construction is not very robust as others have noted, but for the price it was a quick and easy fix

Amazing!!!
Bought this aerial to address patchy WiFi reception for a Mag 322w1 streaming box. The box was placed a short distance from the wireless router, but with a number of thick, solid walls between interfering with the signal strength. The aerial arrived within 24 hours and I plugged it into the streaming box, desperately hoping for some improvement. It’s been nearly a week now, and the reception is virtually perfect! For the price of the aerial and speed of delivery, this is exceptional value for money. I’m exceptionally impressed, but also disappointed that the streaming box had such a weak internal aerial.Note that the aerial worked as soon as I plugged it in. I had to make no configuration changes of load any software (a small CD is supplied with the aerial). Finally, the aerial swivels in a number of directions, which allows you to plug it into a horizontal or vertical USB port and orientate the aerial to still point straight up.Amazing product!!!

... I adjusted the antenna position but snapped back together easily enough. Build quality is not great
Fell to pieces the first time I adjusted the antenna position but snapped back together easily enough. Build quality is not great, but you get what you pay for.Using it with a Raspberry pi 2 running Octoprint. Took a little googling to get it up and running but I think maybe the OS is at fault rather than this device. There seemed to be some issue with my SSID being hidden.edited /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf to this:ctrl_interface=DIR=/var/run/wpa_supplicant GROUP=netdevupdate_config=1network={ ssid="netname" scan_ssid=1 psk="netpass" proto=RSN key_mgmt=WPA-PSK pairwise=CCMP auth_alg=OPEN priority=1 id_str="raspi"}and etc/network/interfaces:auto loiface lo inet loopbackauto eth0allow-hotplug eth0iface eth0 inet manualauto wlan0allow-hotplug wlan0iface wlan0 inet manualwpa-roam /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.confiface default inet dhcpIt works and the price is good.

Quite good capabilities, but poor plastic casing
The dongle works quite well technology-wise, I could even setup an access point (AP) on my raspberry pi, and the one client I connected was just as fast as with a "real" wifi router. But: The casing is very flimsy and breaks easily. I was able to reassemble it (three times now), but every time I try to readjust the antenna, it disassembles again. A tiny but more quality would have made this a very good product.

Works straight out of the packaging
I purchased this in preparation for attendance on a SANS course as it had the chipset they recommended. I must admit I didn't expect it to work and so bought a second, different, but similarly priced one to have as a backup. I needn't have worried - I opened the package, plugged it in to my laptop and the VMWare hosted Linux box picked it straight up. Worked better than a lot of people's alternatives costing a lot more. I have no idea how long it would stand up to constant use build-wise but if what you want is a fuss-free stick to work through some training or tutorials then I can't really fault it.

Highly recommend. Excellent range.
Plugged it in to my Raspberry Pi in the shed (which is approx 150’ from house and from router through all internal walls) and instantly works and noticed a much better connection to WiFi than my other usb device. Streaming video from Octoprint is now working perfectly. It is cheap feel build quality, but hey, it ‘is’ cheap and I don’t plan on touching it again anyway.Highly recommended for the money

Good product
I bought this last year to use with my Raspberry Pi 2. No issues with it at all. First had a little trouble entering the wireless key in KODI. Managed to find a way around. Not a hardware issue at all. Since then been using it without any issues. Starts up quite rapidly when the Pi starts. Been using the ethernet before that, initially seen a slight difference in speed. I guess wireless would always have a smaller throughput. Overall happy with the buy.

Little Gem
I installed Debian-based Linux on a new laptop. This laptop's inbuilt wireless adaptor (Qualcomm Atheros) was effectively useless under Linux: a poor pickup range, with any connection repeatedly dropped (perhaps caused by poor Linux device drivers).Encouraged by the promising Amazon reviews of Racksoy's Wireless USB Adaptor with the Raspberry Pi, I purchased the device. Linux supported the adaptor immediately after plugging in. The adaptor has a greater range than the inbuilt one, data transmission is seamless, and the wireless connection is consistently maintained. The adjustable aerial is very convenient with a laptop.Racksoy's Wireless Adaptor is an impressive device for the price.
