Use this all the time as I watch a lot of Netflix and want to see it on a bigger screen than my tiny MacBook Air. At first I couldn’t get it to connect and thought it was a dodgy connection, took the laptop to apple and it turns out it was just my settings, oops! Small and compact and have had many great uses out of it where I can watch a decent movie or watch Holiday photos in the big screen!

This is the second one of these I have bought and both function well. I needed the second to back up the first in case of failure as I do a lot of out of office presentations. Arrived well-packed and on-time. Seems durable and both work with no issues.

I thought this adaptor was great, worked well with projector at work and my MacBook for about 3 days... Until I was teaching and smelled a strange smell. Turned out my MacBook was on fire! Smoke coming from where the adaptor was plugged in and the USB port next to it too. Lots of melted and burned bits inside the ports and small flames beginning to appear with the smoke. Thankfully got it out of the classroom with no danger to the children. Terrifying to think what would have happened if I’d left it over break/lunch, the whole place could have gone up or the children could have been seriously hurt! Has now cost me £100 to get my computer fixed and safe to use again. Avoid at all costs!

So I got this so I can connect my Macbook to my TV for the Mayweather Mcgreggor fight, I dont have any of the sky or virgin boxes and didnt really want to watch it on the macbook. So I decided to get this to watch it on my tv from the macbook.Came next day with Prime. Connected it to test how it work and i am extremely happy. Switched to the HDMI channel it was connected to and my mac screen was mirrored to the tv. Great picture quality and after changing preferences on mac the sound also comes out of the TV.Fantastic product and does exactly what you need and expect it to do.If you need one then get it.

I could not believe that it would do what the Apple one does at a tenth of the price. But it works fine. It feels durable, time will tell. But at this price I could replace it every couple of years. It came well packaged in a plastic sleeve with a protector over the contact. Was really quite impressed. Only 4 stars and not 5 because for some reason it only fits in Mac one way, and need to be careful not to force it.

I bought this so I could connect my tv to my imac computer, the hdmi fits the tv fine but the other connection doesn't for the computer? Even though it said it would in the product details. Very disappointed, waste of money.!!!The cable looks ok, but I can't comment on picture quality or build quality because can't use.

Worked perfectly to play my MacBook onto my Sony tv.

The service was quick and item arrived as described. This was recommended to me by a colleague who uses it at work so I have taken his advice and bought. I haven’t yet had a chance to try it out but have no concerns about it not being effective
