I purchased this item about two years ago,It really works , there are 5 different light speeds .One should for just about anyone.I fall asleep within 2-5 minutes , after usingIt's a great idea- that works

I use this to help me sleep as I often travel to different locations. The plastic box split into two pieces, although the light continued to work. Battery life not that great. I do find that the light focuses me and the technique relaxes me, but I am not asleep by the end because I'm worried about keeping up with the light... just my type A tendency I think.

The blue light varying brightness might be ok if coupled with sounds or other stimuli to induce relaxation; as is, it's annoying. But, now I know! Not recommended for sleepless folks.

I've found the device itself only marginally useful in helping me sleep. However, the customer service was excellent. I received a broken though usable device originally, and reported it. They sent me a new one, and before I sent back the original and while waiting for the new one to arrive there was a fire in my apartment making the first one unusable. I told them, and they didn't question it and told me to not worry about it.

Its awfully expensive considering how simple it is. I've made higher quality electronic devices in shop class with those 5.99 kits.All it does is emit a light in a pattern. If you have any knowledge of digital circuitry you could easily make one yourself for dirt cheap. Also, your smartphone can do the same thing only with a lot more options. Check around your app market and you will find free or low cost alternatives to this.For folks complaining about the brightness, well, thats another reason to use a smartphone app, BUT, you could also take the instruction manual, open up one or two pages, and lay them across the light to diffuse it a bit. Eventually you could just have the equivalent to a firefly.I did rate it four stars because it works, so long as you follow the directions, but its so darn expensive for being cheap Chinese electronics and you could do better elsewhere. Only recommend this if its on sale, like 30% off.

This thing is amazing... I have chronic insomnia from an overactive mind. I received this yesterday, read the instructions, placed it into the 7-minute mode and the next thing I remember is my alarm going off... an absolute first for me.

Useless for me but maybe works for others. Difficult to fall asleep with all the flashing and it doesn't really help.

Definitely helps me sleep. I have sleeping issues this helped me get off sleeping pills. Have bought 2 so far. Not worth getting the traveler edition though because the case is too soft, doesn't really protect.
