It works! Even on finished paintings!
I loved this product. It helped me remove color which was already dried on my painting and I was able to re-work a face I was satisfied with on a portrait I was working on.

Works incredibly well
I got this on an Amazon discount for $10.99 - which sounds like a lot for a sponge. This however is not the average sponge you buy from the store. It picked up my watercolor immediately and a few swipes on heavy paint gets the page back to nearly white so I can start over. The sponge washes out completely back to white and has no problem drying by the next day. This pack came with four watercolor sponges. I would not be without this again. It is worth every penny and I would spend the nearly $18 full price to replace if I suddenly lost mine. It's and exorbiant cost for just a sponge but I'd have to because it works really well. I doubt there is a better than this out there. So this is excellent for picking up paint and I won't be without it now.

Frisk Magic Sponge Erasers.
A pack of 4 sponges made of a fine white foam; one of my watercolour students came in with one of these, so I thought I'd buy a pack to give them a try. They aren't really magic (sorry if I've spoiled any illusions) but with a bit of practice and judgement they can be used to lift out pigment with a fair degree of control; I managed to lift out some fairly narrow lines across a large wash of watercolour using the dampened edge of a piece of one of these sponges. They are best used if you cut them into more manageable sizes and although they won't give a razor sharp line, they are fairly effective. I've also used them to cut back into washes to create windows on buildings and reflections on water – you'll no doubt find your own uses for them – these are just examples. They aren't a substitute for masking fluid (which I dislike) as they won't give a very fine, detailed line if that's what you want, but they are useful if you have a broad approach that is built on washes and you lift out your smaller areas of light afterwards. The sponges don't last that long – they tend to crumble after a short period of use, but cutting them up means you'll get a fair lifespan out of them.Be prepared to experiment for a time as judging the level of dampness that suits your purpose is key; if you rinse the pigment out of them, squeeze them well and leave to dry, they will be good for several repeated uses.Quite a useful product; I managed for years without them, but handy to have on the studio table.

Fantastic!
I was told about these by someone at my art class. I used one there and then on a watercolour self-portrait I'd done that was too dark where it should be highlighted. You can see the difference in the two photos.I also used the sponge on the wall behind the desk I use when painting. All the little paint splashes - including gouache paint - came off without much effort.

Magic watercolour sponge
These are rather overpriced as they can be bought in any pound shop in packs of 10 for £1! They do work but are exactly the same as the magic white household erasures. Save your money and visit any cheap/pound shop for them

MAGIC CLEANING SPONGES MAGICALLY CLEAN EVERYTHING !!
MAGIC! From paint, wine, dirt, grease, crayon, you name it and these magically bring back to normal what ever needs cleaning - no marks no stains. I use them for everything that needs cleaning in and outside of the home. Bought a bag of 30 same magic cleaners for £10.00 so this little packet of 4 is very expensive for only 4! But now I know better. Arrived next day. Will always have these in my housekeeping box.

A bit goes a long way & I found it works best when cut into smaller pieces
Really impressed with this product. It's a very dense foam which lifts watercolour mistakes or areas which need to be lighter. Also worth experimenting with as you can achieve some unusual effects. A bit goes a long way & I found it works best when cut into smaller pieces. You can rinse it out & use again when dry. Overall very impressed & have recommended to people at my art class.
