Walt Disney Records The Legacy Collection: Robin Hood

It's been a long time waiting for this to finally arrive on CD ! Why it's taking so long who knows? Especially after there have been so many of the Disney soundtracks available but never Robin Hood , until now! It's very well packaged and wonderfully presented like a beautiful little book that holds both cds. Any Disney fan who has been waiting for this soundtrack for many years shouldn't be disappointed because I don't think there's been anything left out from the movie as such if memory serves & it just seems like a miracle that it's been released full stop hahaha about time too! Buy it it's well worth it I rest my case!

Excellent ! I was waiting for this complete soundtrack since ages ! I discovered the movie at its release and the soundtrack Disney never was edited so far.Now I'm expecting the same for THE RESCUERS and THE SWORD IN THE STONE and some others, Disney guys ! Thank you !Just too bad they don't edit the Legacy collection for the foreign/dubbed versions too : I miss the french lyrics.

Végre! Gyerekkoromban láttam a filmet anno még hangalámondással. Azóta immár 20 éve várom a filmzene megjelenését! Egy hosszú álom vált valóra! köszönöm! Imádom a Legacy sorozatot! Csak így tovább! Kitűnő kiadvány!

Really good album. Love the artwork and lyrics. It is a bit more expensive but it is worth it for the extra material.

Wow! what can I say? This is absolutely AMAZING. Robin Hood is my all time favourite Disney animated movie from childhood. It has never lost its appeal over the years and I have purchased it each time it has been released (VHS, DVD and now Blu Ray). I love Disney animated classics for their animation (I appreciate it as an art form now I'm an adult) and also for their lovely classical music scores. This CD collection is absolutely fantastic. It has all of the songs and the classical tracks from throughout the entire movie. It also has deleted and demo versions of the tracks. These are really great -they include ‘Love’ sung from Robin Hoods perspective, a really funky version of ‘Here in Nottingham’ by Peter Ustinov-singing the song from Prince John’s perspective being happy getting all his gold from Nottingham-(really fun to finally hear Prince John singing), and also a strange but really fun and funky selection of songs sung by Louise Prima (King Louie in Jungle Book)-singing Songs about King Louie and Robin Hood being best freidnds (this should have been an animated feature too). Not only does this collection have all the demo and alternate version of songs it also an has an in-depth booklet showcasing the history of Robin Hood and details quite a few parts of the ideas process and beautiful artwork and concept sketches -it goes into details of other people who were considered for characters, rough and colour sketches of scenes and character designs, history and stories and all of the lyrics to the songs. This is an absolute gem and a masterpiece. I feel really lucky that Walt Disney records have released this beautiful collection. It is that good that I'm going to have to order another one to not open (just in case anything ever happens to this copy at all). An absolute must have of a gem for a Disney and Robin Hood fan.
