I really like this safe, this is one of the only products of its kind that can lock for an extended period of time. It is great for anything involving willpower, you can just lock things up and put them out of your mind. The steel is high quality and the timer is intuitive, I would recommend this for anybody.

This is probably the best product on the market. I previously got a small size of the Time Lock Countdown Safe, the older version, and just upgraded to the new one. This new and improved version is more sturdy, has better mechanics, an entirely new timer, and a significantly longer battery life.It’s a perfect tool to limit activities or things you otherwise don’t have a good discipline with such as phones, social media, video games, sweets, cravings, etc.Overall, I highly recommend it!

This does what it says. It's relatively sturdy. The timer works, but you can tell it was added on to an existing electronic lock because it will accept the code when the timer is running, it just won't click open.However the wiring was bad. More than once it just didn't get power. Fortunately it is easy to remove a few screws and fix. The wires are thin and don't take solder well, but I was able to fix it.My other issue is that the physical lock is easy to open with the most basic of lock picks. I found a replacement that fits and had to modify the bracket. Or you could just remove the bracket and make the override lock useless.Overall still worth it.

For the price Id expect a brand new product but the one I received is clearly used with small scratches, fabric left inside and smudge prints all over it. More importantly, it doesn't work. Once the timer gets sets and the countdown starts, nothing happens. The whole thing dies and doesn't lock. Will be returning and getting a replacement.

It’s better than any other time lock product on the market that I have tried. The only one that is all steel, has secure locking bolts, unpick able, & non pry able-when it’s locked, you must wait for the countdown for it to open. The countdown timer is simple to set. One may want to keep the emergency override key nearby until you're used to using it for any accidental lockouts, & know how you plan to utilize it for your specific needs, then having a trusted person hold keys, until you need them, or a plan that suits you. Have only had short time so I cant speak to longevity. Another great thing about this time lock safe is the customer service! Quite remarkable. You can email them and they will be back with you within 24 hours. They offer email, phone, video calls, on top of literature & educational videos. Only time lock safe that I’ve used today cannot break into. It’s perfect for what I need!! Plus the customer service is amazing.

This device has some usability issues:1) Cannot replace the batteries when the safe is locked (every other e-safe I have used has allowed this)2) Cannot see the countdown timer when the safe is locked (annoying, but still usable)3) Battery compartment does not hold the batteries securely, and often the keypad will not functionProblem 3) combined with problem 1) means that the key is needed all too often to open the safe. It might as well be a keyed lock box.2012-09-12It worked once, but now that it is open it will not lock again. The knob simply won't turn, to throw the bolts. The timer mechanism is not holding up the closing: after entering the code (plus '#'), the device beeps as it does when the timer mechanism has allowed the opening, but the knob still won't turn. It won't turn with the key, either.

For several years, I was intently looking for a time lock safe that actually worked and was difficult to break into (for vice self-control). There are several other brands on the market, but they are all cheaply made and easy to break into with even a screwdriver or hammer, and so what’s the point? I had almost given up, and was thinking about having one custom made. Fortunately, I discovered Genie Hand first. I bought the countdown version. It is simple to program and you cannot break into it without some industrial strength power tools. To make sure I do not do that, I simply lock up my tool chest and put the key in the safe, as well. I tried to bounce the safe to unlock it, and it will not. (Also, you can bolt the safe to the wall or floor if you are still worried about that.) If you are like me and have been searching forever for a time lock safe that is (1) user friendly and (2) you cannot break into, it is my opinion that this is the best (and only) one currently on the market.

They're safes come with a two year warranty. I had an issue with it after six months. And they happily agreed to send a replacement, free of charge . And keep the defect one. Would recommend to anyone who may be thinking of ordering his products. You will be taken care of. 2 year warranty that they honour 100%

The safe is high quality, sturdy, and reliable. I use the time-lock feature to help me curb some of my addictions and it has been working fantastically. I highly recommend for anyone who wants to put something down for a couple hours, up to 99 days. Also, if you ever lose the keys, or lock it in the safe (don't do this!), you can buy a spare from the company with free expedited shipping anywhere to the US, UK, or Canada.Customer support also replies to emails very quickly and are friendly and professional. They're based in Italy so the timing is way off compared to where I live (EST), but they were getting back to me on weekends (even Sundays) which shows that they are dedicated to their customers. 5/5 - Will buy again!

Very good product if you're looking for a small to medium safe. Time delay feature is easy to program. Dan at Genie hand was very helpful in guiding me to get the right product for my needs.

This is the perfect product for people who want to control their habits. I have tried other products but they are fairly easy to 'cheat' and break into, this product is secure and solid, and keeps you away from what you want for a certain period of time and good for habit controlling. Also, the service is excellent, as I left my keys inside (DON'T DO THIS) and the batteries ran out. My tip is to keep your key in a place that is very unconvenient to get, but still accessible in the end. I would defenitely recommend it!

Fantastic and unique product I regret not buying sooner. The safe is more robust than I expected, it's super easy to setup and I've locked it numerous times both shorter and longer stretches and it has worked perfect every-time! I read some reviewer saying that you can open it with a screw-driver that made me hesitate but that's absolutely not true.
