The Polystyrene Quality Ceiling Rose 'Osborne 1' has proven to be a stunning addition to my home's interior décor, offering a touch of elegance and sophistication that instantly transformed the ambiance of the room.Measuring 460mm (18 inches) in diameter, this ceiling rose boasts impeccable craftsmanship and quality. The polystyrene material used in its construction not only ensures durability but also makes it lightweight and easy to install, even for those without extensive DIY experience. The intricate design of the 'Osborne 1' is a true testament to attention to detail. The floral-inspired pattern, with its fine lines and delicate curves, adds a classic yet contemporary aesthetic to any ceiling. It serves as a focal point that elevates the overall appeal of the room, perfectly complementing various interior design styles, from traditional to modern. The ease of installation was a pleasant surprise. With its lightweight nature, affixing it to the ceiling was a straightforward process. Its smooth surface allowed for easy application of paint, enabling me to match it seamlessly with the room's color scheme. The material took the paint well, resulting in a flawless finish that enhanced its beauty further. One point to note is that while the polystyrene material ensures its lightweight nature, it also means that it might be more susceptible to damage if not handled carefully during installation or maintenance. In conclusion, the Polystyrene Quality Ceiling Rose 'Osborne 1' is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking to add a touch of sophistication and style to their interior spaces. Yes it’s polystyrene but it’s ok!
I was worried as reviews said it still looked polystyrene after painting, but we are happy with ours. Admittedly it is on a mega high Edwardian ceiling, but looks absolutely fine once painted. Easy to trim to size of light fitting, and easy to apply. As it’s cheap, if we ever need to replace light fitting then it doesn’t matter if we need to replace rose as well. So great for now and future proof cost saving!

Needed quite a few coats of paint to cover the dimpled effect of the polystyrene (about 7) but the end result looks great. Cut easily too and simple to fit as very lightweight.

Not in perfect condition.
Middle bit not easy to cut out and the ceiling rose itself had a few small dents in it.

Good value. Easy to put up.
I messed it up a little when cutting, but it's so much better than my old one.

Easy To Install, Lightweight & Adds Instant Character
Overall this added character back to our ceiling, and really helped to elevate our light fitting.Quality: a few dints in it but overall nice quality and a great lightweight option to install especially for when your ceiling above is rubbish/ can't hold much weight like ours.I need to caulk and paint it a few more coats now it's in situ to get rid of the dimpling as others have mentioned, as this is the only real tell tale sign it's not a plaster one but easy to drill through and install and you just need to be careful not to apply too much pressure when installing or it would dint easily.I'm purchasing another as really impressed at how easy it was to install vs a plaster one so would recommend. I will be using a primer undercoat on the 2nd one so will see if this helps smooth the dimpling/ texture/ porous holes in the surface but on a high ceiling this would not be noticeable anyway.

Good but a bit pricey
Be very gentle with item but prefer composite. That's my choice but not bad at all really.
