I am reviewing this product and manufacturing company, not the Amazon seller. I bought this product, made by This company from a local hardware store. Please be careful if you live in a warmer area!!I walked out onto my porch yesterday morning to see this planter melting! Long strings dripping down onto my porch area. I say Area because there is now a gaping hole under where the planter was! Strong smell of smoke. The planter was melted on my aluminum railing. There isn’t any direct sun until the afternoon, that hits the area. No one in the home smokes. The white railing burnt black at top. We did have 3 days of 118° daytime, 100+ degrees at night heat. Very unusual. The $30.00 planter is going to cost me $500.00+ according to the quotes for repair to porch I’ve gotten so far. I was told that the nutrients, (nitrogen?) in the dry potting soil in the planter ignited from the heat. I have no idea the Whys, I just know that if yesterday was a work day, I could have lost everything! So…BEWARE where you sit the planters, they do MELT!

I have 6 of these planters in 3 different sizes. They look lovely in groupings on my patio. Although the description says that they are silver in color, the silver part is more of a metallic green. Prettier than silver in my opinion.
