Product Description Silica is helpful in promoting healthy hair, preventing hair loss, promoting healthy skin and nails. Silica plus capsules contains horsetail herb (equisetum arvense), an organic form of silica. The second most abundant element on earth, silica is a component of all connective tissue and cartilage and important for its strength and elasticity. Of the available forms of silica, absorption is better from the vegetable form than the inorganic type. Its mode of action appears to be bonding to minerals and vitamins and taking them to the peripherals of the body, the hair, skin and nails. In a published study on the influence of silica in 50 women with skin ageing, fragile hair and brittle nails, there was a marked reduction in wrinkles as well as increased thickeness and strength of facial skinand a general improvement in the state of hair and nail tissue. Indications This product is free of sugar, salt, yeast, wheat, gluten, corn and dairy products and is formulated without the use of preservatives or flavours.

To equisetum arvense 6000mg), calcium carbonate, microcrystalline cellulose (bulking agent), carboxymethyl cellulose (emulsifier), zinc gluconate, silicon dioxide (anti-caking agent),magnesium salts of fatty acids (veg. Origin anti-caking agent), vitamin b6 as pyridoxide hydrochloride, manganese sulphate, coating ( hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose and hydroxypropyl cellulose, colour titatanium dioxide. Dissapointment.
I am very disappointed that there is no improvement in my nails although I have been taking silica for months now.

Always check the label before opening. I received an IDENTICAL bottle but didn't read label because I had ordered these tablets many times before. Only when I read the label did I realise that I'd been sent Glucosomine Sulphate by mistake!
