I have accumulated tens of cookbooks since I got married 10 years ago. This was my first and will always be my favorite. Whenever I need a foolproof meal that everyone will love, these recipe never fail me. I have been asked so many times what the recipe is for my x, y, z- and 90% of the time it’s from here. The instructions are so clear, the recipes have been perfected. If there’s any review that says otherwise, I can tell you without a doubt they didn’t follow directions properly. I have used every single recipe in this book over 10 years. They’re all perfect. I recommend it to everyone, no matter what level cook/baker they are. Just the best

I love this gem of a book. Everything I've made so far has been a success. Directions are clear and concise, and the typesetting makes the recipes easy to read and follow while juggling eggs and measuring cups and little sticky fingers trying to "help". Although the pictures make the recipes look difficult to prepare, I found that most had minimal steps, and I was able to easily find the ingredients in a regular grocery store. A lot of thought went into the pictures in this book, and the food is staged quite elaborately, but I actually found the photos unhelpful and kind of unappealing. Some of the food, as represented, looked downright weird. Why would anyone prepare a salmon in the shape of a snake? Why choose a massively enlarged closeup of a meat slice that beings to mind tissue samples under a laboratory microscope? I'd say the author has great taste in food but unusual taste in its appearance. I buy recipe books for the recipes, not the pictures, so I was really happy with my purchase.

The best of the latest Kosher Cookbooks. I have cooked several recipes from this, including this past New Years Eve, each time without a trial run and guests as the test subjects. No complaints only compliments. Plating suggestions give them a professional look and the photos are divine so that it is almost a coffee table book with the advantage of being practical. Love it and look forward to the author's next.

purchased the book based on reviews,nice presentation and pictures.I tried 2 recipes,The choclate chip Torte a total dry char.Bakinginstructions 55-60 minutes typo error?it should be no more than 35-40 minutes.It was not edible it was so dry.Secondly the apple strudel lacked explicit instructions on the need to rollout the pastry shell in order to roll the apple filling.The author's recipes are based on second hand information or are they actualkitchen tested by herand her ? staff.S.R.from monsey,ny

Bought this as a gift for my Mom on Mothers' Day; she's an incredible chef and enjoyed flipping through the recipes (making a few of them as well). Very well rounded, has meats, fishes, dairy, desserts etc... and is very chic!

the first time i sat down to read through this, there were about 15 things i wanted to try right away! the pictures really do make your mouth water! i love that the recipes are simple and basic but beautifully presented, i dont have hours to play with preparing food. I bought them for friends too! Definitely recommend this!

I like the book and the pictures. However, I noticed that every recipe I cooked calls for sugar. I agree totally with another rating where person wrote "In today's world where sugar is known to be an unhealthy ingredient, I was wondering why so many of the recipes include sugar."

This is the best kosher cook book on the market! It's beautiful enough to go on a coffee table! I was so excited when I got this , that I want to try every recipe in the book!
