JakarRound Solid Brass Double Hole Sharpener

My wonderful Derwent battery operated helical coil sharpener died after 9 years of use and Derwent have stopped making it - just typical !So back in Dec 22 I bought a STAEDTLER 511 004 Single-Hole Pencil Tub Sharpener and a pack of Staedtler Tradition 2B pencils from Amazon. The sharpener was useless, chewing up the pencils and breaking the leads long before I got a point. I was lucky if I could sharpen the pencil twice before it was reduced to a stump. It wasn't me being ham-fisted either, my other half had the same problem.Thinking I maybe had a bad batch of pencils I bought another box. Same issue, and definitely the sharpener since the pencils sharpened up fine with a Stanley knife.After trawling through several Amazon pages for pencil sharpeners I stumbled across this M&R brass two hole sharpener. I ruled out the one hole version because with arthritic fingers it looks a little too small to hold comfortably.Being brass it's a good weight and feels sturdy. The striations around the side help with gripping it while sharpening. While putting it away I've dropped it twice onto a stone floor, and done it zero damage.It sharpens quickly and so easily. Gives an excellent point and leaves the wood collar section smooth. It even rescued the stumps left by the other sharpener.This pencil sharpener is so well made I bought a second one; for when I put it down and inevitably forget where I left it. A pack of spare blades is currently available on Amazon as well.

Comes with a good blade and is well made.

This sharpener reminds me of the ones I used at school, which seemed to be bomb proof. It's simple, sturdy, and I'm pretty sure it'll be sharpening pencils long after I'm dead. Just a no-nonsense pencil sharpener, and the last one you'll ever buy.

It is an excellent quality product and does the job perfectly, creating beautiful sharp point without breaking the lead. It's packed only in a small ziplock bag, but that's fine at this pricepoint IMO. It is smaller than it looks on the screen and compared to the dimensions in the description published at the moment. Actual dimensions are: 26 mm in diameter, the brass body is 14 mm thick and if you take into account screws that are sticking out on both flat sides it is 17 mm thick. It feels quite heavy for its size at 46.6 grams.

Reviewed: Solid Brass Circular Double Hole Sharpener.I am a pencil artist, so I prefer pencil sharpeners I don't need to think about, they just sharpen pencils without problems and let me get on with drawing. I also use 7B and 12B pencils a lot, and those break easily — but so far not in the Mobuis and Ruppert pencil sharpener. It's solid, heavy for its size and it sharpens all the wood pencils I have without any problems. Smooth and easy to use, it looks good and so far for me it does a great job without causing any breakages.In short, an excellent product.

I recently lost my one of these I've been using for nearly 20 years , which originaly cost me £11 , so I was pleasantly surprised to find them so cheap nowThey are the best pencil sharpeners I've used in 40 years as an Artist, work well on all types of pencil from graphite to pastels , always making a clean strong tip

Sturdy but I find it no better that cheaper ones on my pastels, could be me but prefer knife

I absolutely love this pencil sharpener. I have used it on my prismacolor Colored pencils, My charcoal pencils, and my colored charcoal pencils. It is fantastic!!! I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a good sharpener, and very reliable!!!

Das Produkt ist super und kein Vergleich mit Anspitzern aus Kunststoff .Das Teil liegt gut in der Hand und bietet zwei unterschiedliche Öffnungen für dicke und dünne Bleistifte. Aufgrund der massiven Herstellung ist das Produkt deutlich schwerer als Herkömmliche Produkte.Es ist zum vererben gebaut und nicht zum wegwerfen 😊Die Klingen sind geschraubt und gut ersetzbar.Geliefert eird in einer Plastiktüte und nicht in eiber Hochglanzverpackung. Wer es verschenken möchte, sollte dies beachten.Ich empfehle diesen Anspitzer sehr gern.

Es de calidad alemana. pesa mucho pero es muy cómodo. por el orificio estrecho la punta sale muy afilada y larga y por el ancho, sale una punta muy afilada pero menos larga. se pueden comprar cuchillas de repuesto. sirve para todo tipo de lápices y marcas: de grafito, colores, pastel,derwent, caran d’ache, faber… en todos funciona excelente.muy recomendable, calidad precio excelente.he intentado subir varias fotos, pero me daba error...
