UPDATE! Since writing my original review (and probably influencing prospective buyers - sorry about that.), this lousy camera suddenly and completely stopped working. I always use new, fresh "copper-top" batteries, and the settings are right just like they've always been, but when I checked the camera this morning, NUTHIN. (Yes, it was turned on, and yes, the memory card was pushed all the way in, and yes, I added even more new/fresh batteries, and no, the camera had not fallen in water or been subjected to bad weather conditions.) The stupid thing simply died.Obviously I'm pretty upset about this. This purchase was a splurge so we could view wildlife at night on our property and to also catch thieves who are stealing Amazon packages from front porches during the day. The cost of this camera could have bought us groceries for a week. Sickening. Shame on you, AIMTOM!Original review below. I feel like a shmuck for having written this:I exhaustively researched trail cams before deciding on this one, and I'm glad I did. I bought a less expensive trail cam (a different brand at half the price of the AIMTOM) a couple of years ago, and it proved the old adage "You get what you pay for" because it took terrible photos, and then it stopped working completely after a few days.I am VERY happy with this AIMTOM camera, however, which has already taken dozens of high-quality, beautiful photos and videos - day and night. I've included two of many photos of the precious birds who visit our dripping bird bath - a Prothonotary Warbler and a Summer Tanager.4 stars rather than 5 because the manual is unclear and strangely written - perhaps translated from another language? The customer service is EXCELLENT if you have any questions though.

The camera itself seems to be working very well. Pictures are quite clear and easy to load on a Mac computer. The memory card is tiny and hard to manage while standing on a ladder. The battery life appears to quite good. Instruction manual doesn't cover all the features on the camera menu, but is easy to follow.The strap to attach it to the tree is strange and doesn't hold the camera in place very well. A second person is required to hold the camera while tightening it, but still not held firmly in place. Most likely I'll have to permanently mount it with the provided hardware.High marks for the AIMTON help desk. My question was answered by email within two hours.

This camera would not take pictures at night and very few during the day. Tried it several times when I noticed that after very little use the battery indicator would show low batteries but i noticed that when I started to close the door the battery indicator showed batteries almost full. I am wondering if the wiring that runs through the hinges is defective. In the booklet that came with the camera which did not show all the functions of the camera said if the batteries were low it would not take pictures. Also the instruction manual that came with this camera must be from and older model not for this camera model.

I have to say this company stands by it product. I purchased the camera and the micro sd card did not work. I contacted the company and they asked if I had another one to try. I did not so I went out to purchase one. When I put the new card into the camera it worked. I contacted them and let them know that I purchased another one and the camera worked, I send them my receipt and they rebated the cost of the sd card. It did take me a while to get all the settings correct, I am in my late 60's so this type of thing takes me awhile, the picture quality is very good and it captures all of my yard that I would like. I highly recommend this camera and definitely their customer service.

The unit is as described, but does have the problem described by others where the start up says to check an internal battery. Sometimes it will not go passed this warning, and I must restart again.The unit also only supports one TV output that is not supported by my Sony TV. Other units I have supports several output protocols, so I just need to select the correct one to view the unit.

Coming from a family of big time hunters I wanted to surprise my husband with a trail camera for his hunt. He loves it! It was easy to assemble and the instructions explain how to use it very well. He used it the first night in our yard just to see how it worked and was so excited the next day to see it had caught the neighbors dog digging through our trash (they say it's not their dog all the time lol). He went out and put it in his spot for this year's hunt and he told me he does not know how he has lived without it! Great camera with awesome pictures. He is so excited for this hunt! Great Product!

This unit is not well thought out for USER applications. Not only does it use a Mini SD Card, but it has to be removed from underneath the apparatus. Once the mini card pops out and falls into the grass and leaves it takes a miracle to retrieve it. I've yet to master its operation. My learning curve isn't all that good to begin with. I like using CAMS with video, but can't get this one to cooperated. It takes a video every 2 seconds, and I have yet to solve the problem.

Bought 2 cameras and 1 is a great camera however one the second one either one of the plastic protectors is stuck on the sensor or if fell off during transit and the sensor is all scratched. Pretty gutted really. The sensor is no where near as sensitive as the other and so it doesn't pick up movement as well.
