I use electric tape for so much more than just electrical repairs. A few weeks ago, with temperatures still in the 30's and 40's, I wrapped several young trees with tree wrap and used this electric tape to secure the ends of the wrap. I used the electric tape, due to its elastic stretch, so it won't damage the tree as it slowly grows over the year. I have to say that this tape has performed well in the wet and cold days following it's application, and now the temperature has reached up to the 80 degree mark and the tape is still holding fast.This tape is comparable to other brands in it's thickness, width and roll sizes. It feels more sticky to me than other generic or no name brands that I have purchased at the big box lumber yards, in the last year. It's nice to have each roll individually wrapped in plastic, so the edges of the rolls don't pick up dust or debris while stored in a garage or workshop. The rolls are then packaged together in groups of ten, with two packages or 20 rolls per order. Finally, I think the price could be just a bit lower for this product.

This tape is UL listed and works as intended good for things like fixing wiring issues, waterproofing splices, and holding wires together in use or while pulling.

I left this roll taped to my cabinet for about 2 hours and it was still sitting there when I got home. So it definitely has good enough hold. It is no better or worse than any average roll of black tape and will definitely do the job it's needed for. This 20 pack is a great deal if having a constant need for it. Easy to dispense to employees as well if your business requires the use. I personally have no idea how I will use these 20 rolls, but I definitely will. I always find something that black tape is needed and I never have it on hand. Now being the owner of 20 rolls I will always have it when needed. Overall I have no complaints and and confident that it will work perfectly for any task I need it for.

This is decent general purpose black tape. It doesn't stick as good as the really expensive stuff, but most of the time it doesn't need to. You can do a final wrap with the good stuff after using this if you need it to hold better. Usually I will wrap with this first then use a felt type of wrap for quietness and that combination works really well. Black tape just needs to insulate and this seems to work well.

Maybe an unusual way of using the electrical tape.But my fish tank's glass top hinge gave away after years of use.Replacing the hinge cost $$.Since the hinge was also black plastic, I tried to quick fix with this electrical tape.And it WORKS!!!Since the tape is so flexible, after adding few layers of tape over the hinge, it works like a rubber & open and close the door like a new hinge.I thought it was a temporary fix, and now after few weeks, the door is still working just fine.Just for fixing this hinge with the tape, it saved money & paid off for whole 20 rolls of tape.Great Quality!!!
