Essential
Bought this as a Christmas gift for someone struggling with menopause hot flushes, but this fan has travelled globally now. It's so pretty and sturdy that it permanently lives in the handbag!!

Presentation box little damaged
The fan itself looks decent enough and nicely made. Haven't opened it out as its sealed and its a gift but unfortunately the presentation box was a little damaged which was disappointing owing to the fact that I'd bought it for my Mum

Small but effective
The fan is a bit smaller than I thought it would be and not as sturdy as you might think - but it works just as well as any larger, stronger fan!The size is actually a bonus as it can be slid into a medium-sized pocket for travel (it's especially good for keeping cool on stuffy public transport in the summer!).Kanagawa-oki nami ura is perhaps the most iconic piece of Japanese art, and although some may find it strange to have this work decorated onto a fan, it really does look quite pretty.

Definitely a fan :)
Beautiful fan. Very lightweight. Theres a technique to folding it back: just make sure the fabric wedge where it seems stuck is folded in properly and you'll have no issues. If the seller is reading this, please do more Hokusai designs!!

Pretty and works well.
Haven’t rated this fan for ‘warmth’. Kind of defeats the object!A very pretty fan that fits in my bag really well. Attractive print of my favourite painting. Perfect for those hot flush moments!

Not bamboo.
Attractive design but not bamboo. It's plastic. Nor is it Japanese. It is made in China.
