Love this neat wellmade tool, easy to set up and use. Bought this to repair wifes handbag when the handle stitching gave way. Have used it for a couple of other jobs since, the handle is just the right size to fit in the palm when using. Ellsworth having around the home!

Very good product could do with cross hatching on the handle for a better grip when tightening but for the price good product

Great used with the right thread repaired stitching on a really good pair of shoes. Hard to find a decent shoemaker but this tool helped me sort for a fraction of the price.

Had to return them because the needles were rusty

Rec; this item in good condition. I used it to sew in a boxing belt to a backing in preparation for framing it ( title belt).It did the job perfectly. The thimble was great as the conventional thimbles are usually to tight for my chubby thumbs.Highly recommended

Like most things in the world nowadays it works after a bit of fettling.The hole for the needle was machined misaligned and wouldn't accept the needle like others have mentioned.I opened it up abit with some long nose pliers and works fine now

Sadly mine was received misaligned so that none of the needles would fit into handle, so I couldn't even evaluate the product. The overall quality appeared to be somewhat unfinished and would have needed a wipe over with sandpaper to remove sharpish edges which may have impacted upon use, but unfortunately I never even got that opportunity.It's a pity because I'm still looking for a decent sewing awl but I'm loathed to re-order this particular model in the event that I either receive the same one again or another one has the same issue.

Ich bin absoluter Laie, habe die Ahle nur gekauft, um Hundeleinen aus Kletterseilresten zu basteln. Aber bei allem kommt es ja aufs Ergebnis an und das finde ich super! Verwendet habe ich dickes Glattleder (2mm) und dann musste teils noch zu den zwei Lagen Leder das Kletterseil durchnäht werden. Mit einer "normalen" Nadel ist das nicht zu schaffen. Die Idee, die Löcher vorher auszustanzen mit einer Lochzange, war auch nichts, weil gerade in der Mitte alles zu dick war. Also der Versuch mit der Ahle.+ Die Nadeln sind SEHR spitz und gehen gut ohne Handschuhe anzuziehen durch Leder UND Kletterseil.+ Die Benutzung ist leicht, da reicht jedes Internetvideo aus, um es zu lernen.+ stabile Ausführung, für gelegentliches Basteln reicht es allemal aus.- die Befestigung der Nadeln fand ich etwas schwierig: Entweder es ist nicht fest genug oder man dreht es wirklich fest und dann braucht man Handschuhe oder eine Zange, um den Drehmechanismus wieder zu öffnenBei der Nadelauswahl sind die Nadeln schon sehr dick. Ich habe 1mm-Garn verwendet, aber wie man sieht, sind die Löcher doch größer und auch deutlich sichtbar (siehe Foto).Ich bin sehr froh über die Ahle, schon mit einer einmaligen Bastelaktion hat man das Geld wieder drin. Sicher, es gibt deutlich hochwertigere Ahlen, habe ich auch gesehen, aber dann kostet es auch deutlich mehr. Insofern für mich als Gelegenheitsbastlerin bin ich mit dem Kauf sehr zufrieden und finde: 1A Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
