KORGSH-PRO Sledgehammer Pro Clip-on Guitar Tuner

I've recently upgraded to Martin and, as you possibly already know, Martin don't like to built-in tuners. After many years of tuning using such tuners....so convenient for gigging....it felt retrograde to be obliged to use this external, clip-on device. I need not have worried! It is unobtrusive, intuitive to switch on and off, straightforward to read and very sensitive to pitch. It's too soon to comment on battery life apart from saying that, after a month of daily use, it's still running on the original battery. There are only two things I think could improve this device: if it was USB rechargeable, and if it had a programmable +/- cents offset, rather than Hz (personal preference). Otherwise, as clip-on tuners go, this is the best in its class so far. Initially I thought that 12th fret harmonics would be necessary when tuning lowest strings on a bass, but that turned out to be optional.If it has a flaw, I can't find it.

Nice tuner. Like the coloured tube display. It's head is articulated. Seems very accurate in use. Some clipons take time to nail it. This is very quick. Batteries are dirt cheap. Pity it does not include a variety of tunings. Still can't have everything.

More accurate and easier to use than the cheaper ones and the battery last quite a while whereas the others last about five minutes. I've got three now. Had the first one for years.

It's a great tuner, seemingly accurate and easy to see BUT it's almost impossible to insert the battery. The battery drawer is really impractical and I had to use a penknife to open. It will be scary when the battery has to be replaced.

Absolutely love this. Expensive for a clip on tuner but in terms of accuracy and speed it's amazing. Will wait to see how this performs in a live situation but would highly recommend for anyone who finds tuning frustrating with current tuners like I did. Half strobe is my favourite setting.

What a disappointment. I got this as alternative to a tuning pedal to make space on my board. There's nothing about this item I could recommend from start to finish. You have to install the battery first, which is ridiculously difficult. The battery compartment does not open in accordance with the instructions. Believe me it takes an age of fiddling to figure it out and to get the compartment to open. After that it just gets worse. All the instructions are heavily reliant on explaining things in terms of 'left and right', or 'left to right'. Pointless when it's a swivelling device and there's no initial way of tell which way up it is and therefore what is left and right. Overall it feels cheap and flimsy and the clip is so small you expect it to ping off your headstock the moment you move. A lot can be forgiven if it actually does it's job well and gives you quick accurate tuning, but unfortunately it also makes a very poor job of this. My instruments are all professionally set up, so no problem there from ringing or any other interference, but it shouldn't matter anyway as you're adjusting and tuning open strings. This device simply will not declare you in tune on any string, continues to flicker and will never settle. I eventually did a perfect tune using a combination of my old tuning pedal, piano and ears. Guitar sounded perfect. This thing still didn't have a clue, flickering randomly left and right.

Very clear to read, easy to attach, very accurate. I tried many before where the battery didnt last long and when it started going didn't give the correct readings. This one is the best I've had
