Glass Polish 1.7oz (50ml) GP-PRO Glass Polishing Compound for Professional Polishing of All Glass Surfaces - 2.3 microns - GP14053

This is a copy of my review for the polishing kit by same company.Used to polish out windscreen scratches. I had a two inch by one inch patch of scores that i can only guess were made by a diamond ring or similar. Some of the scores were deep enough to feel with my nail. Made worse by what appeared to be an attempt to get rid of the scores with sandpaper!!!! I was not very hopeful but gave it a try.First IMPORTANT to note that I did NOT use the polish that came with the kit, but a slightly coarser version by the same company. The kit bottle is around a micron particle size, but I used their 2.3 micron polish (Reviewed here), I was worried about the reviews here that reported hours of graft so I thought to try the coarser grade - which btw is still advertised as a "finishing" polish.Bottom line it worked fantastic. shallow scuffs disappeared in about twenty minutes and the deeper ones, in about an hour, except for three of four tiny bits that were extra deep. I think I could have gotten them out in time too but it was already good enough (you had to know where to look to see them) and i didn't want to risk distorting the screen.Although I said an hour, it wasn't an continuous hour. Probably only about thirty minutes of actual polishing. Just lots of breaks to let the screen cool down and a few cups of tea!TIPS.1. Use spray bottle of water, to cool the screen every time you stop polishing - steam will come off.2. Spray the polish pad (rather than the screen) when the polish dries out. You'll notice the screen clearing when the pad dries out.3. Masking tape off the boundary of the area your working - on the INSIDE of the screen. This will make it easier for you to keep the polishing pad on the bit that needs it.4. Cover up the area of the car you don't want spatter on!5. If like me you have a convertible top - cover it up.6. Like others have said apply the pad to the screen before starting the drill.7. I bought extra pads as a contingency - but didn't need them. One was enough8. Read the instructions.Good luck.

I had a 4" scratch on my rear car window factory tinted.After watching other videos and reading some of the reviews I was concerned about using this, as some of the other compounds can produce fine abrasive marks, making it worse.I used a rotary polisher and 5" felt pads, also bought from this company (which I'm not part of)My personal opinion is that if you don't have a polisher or drill, don't bother on large areas by hand, as it will take forever.I continued for just under 2 hours with the polisher, taking short breaks when checking the temperature of the glass, and spraying with a light water mist to cool the area.Patience is definitely your best friend!However, I did manage to get rid of most of the scratch, as I couldn't reduce the deeper area of the scratch any further for now.I now have a mark about 1-2cm long, and prepared to leave it for now, but may return in the future to try again. Definitely pleased with the results though.The small bottle people mention is sufficient if you use this technique.Definitely 10/10 results for me

Have a light scratch on the inside of my windscreen used a buffing attachment on the drill with the product didn’t make any impact

I probably didn't use this for the purpose it was intended, but it worked really well. I had a pair of prescription glasses which had a coating on (anti-glare, or anti-smear) and the coating had feathered and cracked and went cloudy. I tried sodium bicarb powder which didn't work, so bought this thinking if it ruined the glasses I'd have needed new ones anyway. But it worked-it cleared away the cracked coating without damaging the lenses. Definitely recommended-it saved me money!

I think it may well work for very minor scratches, but anything deeper needs a professional.

Okay so, my windscreen wiper snapped off my Volvo XC40. The plastic end caused a 12 / 15 inch light scratch.Now for those of you wanting to use this polish by hand it works perfectly. Downside is, toothbrush and water is needed and took me (4 hours) rotating but it removed it, so an awesome result 😎👍 Highly recommended. Consider a drill and pad but be careful for heating up the glass and cracking it!
