Works great on Adidas sacks.
Works great on an Adidas sackpack too. I like simple lightweight sacks with cords instead of wide puffy shoulder straps. But when occasionally you carry something heavy, a couple of full water bottles for example, the cords put strain on your shoulders. Added this sternum strap and it helps position the bag more comfortably and I can now run with the bag if needed without cords slipping off shoulders.A bit pricey for what it is.

Important Replacement for my lost Sternum Strap.
I have a The North Face alpine daypack for a very long time, and although it has all the bells and whistle, such as a great harness, very good hipbelt suspension system... somehow, I must have lost the sternum strap. Over at REI, they didn't have a solution for replacement and luckily I found this strap by BuckleGear... it came, I installed it and it does exactly it's job! Excellent!

A bit big, but easy to use.
My advice - if you can't figure out how to use slide locks, don't do activities that require backpacks. This strap works great. It DOES come with instructions. You really don't need the instructions, however. It really only takes three steps.1) Wrap the ends around your backpack straps so the buckles face forward and use the slide lock to make the loop snug.2) Adjust the height of the strap, with the backpack on, and tighten the loop on the pack.3) Adjust the tightness of the strap across your chest.

Need a universal strap to stabilize your backpack? Look no further.
Great for any backpack. I had a backpack that just didn't seem to fit right and I wanted the comfort of the sternum/shoulder strap. This universal strap was a nice compliment to my backpack.I do wish it was easier to install and connect, but that was more me thinking the instructions can't be right. The price might be a tad bit high, but all attempts to make this myself ended up costing me more than just buying this.

Nice, but the buckle could be better quality.
At this price point for "just getting a buckle and 2 straps" I'd expect a good quality buckle. Well the buckle isn't the best. Basically you can get this buckle for 20 cents, a couple of straps for 1 USD and do the same.Other than that it works as expected and should be sturdy enough to last a while, at least until the buckle gives up ;) Its a little annoying that it doesnt engage super-smoothly every time you put your pack on.Pros:- works! ;-)Cons:- a little expensive for what you get- buckle is cheaply made

Good buy
Doesn't fit every backpack as well as others. Tried to put on a Neff Rucksack for hiking and everything but these straps kept falling down and eventually stopped using them. But they are a good quality for pretty cheap. They will most likely fit your bag, I think I was just an exception.

Strap works fine. Instructions were included.
I recently purchased Case Logic DLBP-114 backpack but it didn't came with a strap across the chest. The shoulder straps on the Case Logic backpack were a bit wide and it would feel more secure to have the chest strap. Luckily, I found bucklegear sternum strap. Its a bit pricy for a strap but it works fine. Shipment was quick. It includes instruction so putting it on wasn't hard.

Great product, very happy and will use for further ...
Worked perfectly for a GORUCK Challenge; which is a 12hr 20 mile ruck w/30lbs of weight along with military style work outs (I.e. Burpees, bear crawls, running/ hiking, in and out of water and what not. Got our through a lot and where my mechanic gloves got holes, and my headlamp stopped working this sternum strap stay put and locked through the entire event. Great product, very happy and will use for further GORUCK events
