AetrexWomen's Fiji Orthopedic Arch Support Flip Flops - Water-Friendly Metatarsal Soft Toe Post Flip Flops Sandals

Very comfortable and support lasts 6 months
I have tried every brand of arch support/plantar fasciitis/foam recovery flip flop available because I dont like closed toes for around the house. Aetrex Women's Fiji Orthopedic Arch Support Flip Flops are the best in all categories: Price, Support, Quality, Fit as expected. Other foam or "recovery sandals" are soft and mushy and lose support within a couple months; especially if you are overweight. My Aetrex Fiji Flip flops lasted almost a year, but my overweight friends only last about 6 months, which I think is expected when you wear these 12 hours a day like we do. The only other brand that is better was a specific Crocs thong that they don't make anymore. Aetrex brand is what my podiatrist also recommends (though I found out later after using I agree with her!).

Excellent support for arches and plantar fasciitis
I have these in teal and now navy. The plastic look does limit where I can wear them, but for summer, they are great. They are light weight and rinse off easily. I think they are a bit pricy for what they are - but they do serve a purpose and keep my feet supported as well as Vionic or other more expensive orthopedic shoes. The size guide says to go up a size but i go down. I have a long second toe that can add a half size , so i am careful to keep from" hanging over". In most shoes I wear a 7 .5 or 8 in a closed toe shoe, but i buy a 7 in these and they fit front and back fine and the arch support hits right.

They sent me the wrong style.
I ordered the women's Fiji style of Aetrex flip flops as shown and advertised here on Amazon.com, but what was shipped to me is the Maui style of Aetrex women's flip flop. There is a difference in the two styles. I know because I've tried both styles. The Fiji style has much slimmer straps on top of the foot, and therefore doesn't pull on the top of the feet...which makes it more comfortable. The Fiji style has a much harder type of material which you feel as extra firm support on the entire bottom of the feet. The Fiji style is and feels much more firm and hard...which is good if you need extra arch support and overall more shock absorbing for the bottom of the foot. The Maui style is much softer material allover, so that means you get less shock absorbing and less arch support because the bottom of the flip flops gives away and flattens more that the Fiji style does. The Maui style weighs much less/ is a lot lighter weight than the Fiji style. The straps on the Maui style are a lot wider and feel a lot tighter. They pull on the stop of your feet when you walk, which is not comfortable. I received the Maui style just before I was traveling, so I didn't have time to send them back to Amazon. Otherwise I would have returned them. The Maui style are ok if you don't plan on walking much in them. I only use the Maui style in the shower because I can't stand barefoot on hard surfaces because I have heel bine spurs which is painful even when just standing I must wear cushioned flip flops with good arch support and a groove/ hole to take pressure off my heels/ the bone spurs. The Mauis are ok just for that, but not sturdy enough for walking at all.

Don’t buy they aren’t even Aetrrx
As another reviewer posted in her comments, these sandals are not the same sandals I bought last year. Pic for comparison. They are made differently with different material. The bottom says Lycos on them (no mention of Aetrrx any where) I bought them in turquoise blush and black because I liked them so much, but now I’m returning them all seeing that this third party vendor duped me. They are a little harder on the sole. Fit is the same in terms of size. But not Aetrrx and I am not paying $60 for them.
