my new yuzu favorite
I love this on both bland and robust foods, it kicks up the flavor without overwhelming. Scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, shrimp and then more robust pork and burgers. I'm a hot chili addict, but super heat doesn't work for me when I'm eating more subtle flavors. This is now my go to for lower key foods. It's a great contrast to sriracha red, much more citrus pop. I also like that I can use this on breakfast foods and get a good zing, doesn't need to be saved until dinner foods. This isn't sinus clearing, tear inducing stuff. But it's super tasty and does have some heat. I'd recommend this as a good introduction to heat for people who want to wake up their palate. It's bright citrus flavor has some heat, but doesn't overwhelm. I used to buy yuzu koshu paste, but the product changed order to order and I was finally turned off by my last purchase, which was incredibly salty. So glad I found this yuzu option instead.

If You Don't Actually Want To Add Any Taste...
If you don't actually want to add any taste or heat to your food, this may be the "hot" sauce for you. Want to impress your friends with the amount of hot sauce you can add to your food? Want to make your apple juice turn a weird cloudy green color but still have it taste pretty much like apple juice? I didn't do that but I imagine this sauce would be great for that! It arrived leaking, despite the quality seal that had in fact blown up into the lid in transit and I had to use a knife and some tweezers to get it out. It smelled kind of OK and I didn't see any mold, plus sometimes I make bad life choices, so I ate some anyway. Nothing bad happened other than it has almost no taste whatsoever. It has a little bit of a yuzu smell, but that's about it. It tastes like if you mixed a teaspoon of something green like... I don't know, wheatgrass or some clover or something, and then added a couple drops of citrus, and then put it in a cup and a half of water and shook it up. At least it was only eight bucks-ish. If you're looking for something nice and green and hot-ish and fresh, try Musashi Midori green sriracha. It's freaking delicious. It was also four bucks more expensive and I'm a cheapskate and too lazy to drive to World Market to see if I can find another bottle there. Lesson learned, my friends.

Three Stars
Nice citrus taste. But not spicy at all.

Tasty, yes. Sriracha, no.
This doesn't remind me of sriracha at all; the texture (smooth and kind of runny, a bit thicker than Tabasco) is totally different, and the lovely yuzu taste is almost as strong as the heat. But it's an enjoyable hot sauce, not quite like any other I've tried, and not a bad condiment to have around. Just keep a bottle of actual sriracha in the house!

Not hot but very tasty
An excellent sauce with a touch of heat and nice fruity flavor. Great on chicken or pork.
